Now back to Stepfawn, he has a nice offer list.

- Baylor
- Colorado
- Iowa St.
- LSU
- Nebraska
- Oklahoma St.

Those are some big-name programs for a two-star. That makes me believe that this guy either has a ton of potential or he's outperformed current star ranking in the eyes of college coaches.

According to Hudl, he played RB, SB, WR, CB, FS this past football season. Here is his film for those who are interested.

Since you guys haven't had enough me of me today.

Just confirmed by @btaustin: 2014 Dunbar (TX) ATH Stepfawn Hughes has committed to #Mizzou. He's the brother of current WR Darius White.

Hughes (5-10, 170) tells @btaustin that he believes #Mizzou wants him as a slot WR. Pretty impressive highlights.

And, despite being a two-star, Hughes had offers from Nebraska, Texas Tech, Baylor and Colorado.

Darius White deserves a H/T from breaking his brother's commitment. Told us today after practice: "You know he committed, right?" We did not

Hughes told @btaustin he also had offers from LSU, Oklahoma State, TCU and Iowa St. His commitment moves MU from 42 to 39 in team rankings

For whatever it's worth, 247 has him as a 3*.

LINK

Regardless, welcome to the ZOU! Solid addition IMO.

Now can we get some DLine commits?

Dumb. Very very dumb.

This is just an attempt to keep the TX pipeline in tact.

People that don't think this kind of crap is a big reason Missouri HS coaches are down on MU are out of their minds.

The SLUH coach, think his name was Kornfeld or something, was my drivers ed teacher. Spent hours in the car with just him... he was a huge Illini guy, sent his kid there. Asked him why he was not big on Mizzou. His answer -- because they take kids from out of state over Missouri kids that are just as good.

How do they not have an offer to Ofodile? Yet another 2 star from out of state commits. How are other states beating us to the '15 in state studs? Stupid, and people that keep up the company line of welcoming these commitments without frustration are plain dumb.

Another thing that makes no sense is filling up this class with shitbums before we have a chance to change the perception of the program. Start out 5-0 steal a game from FLA or USC, and finish with 8-9 wins. You gotta think kids would come callin'.. but if that happens we will be forced to tell them that we're full.

That post was a kneejerk to this commitment, but it was more about the entire class as a whole.

This guy does seem to lean towards the gem of a 2 star find... and plays many positions, hope he's listed as an athlete.

The kid did nothing but accept an invitation. For that I welcome him. Doesn't mean I'm not frustrated as frick. I just feel like I've been a Negative Nancy lately so I tried to bite my tongue.

I hear ya. I'm going to keep repeating myself, but this kids commitment would look completely different IF we had landed Bauer, Johnson, Harrison, Smith and Booth. I really like the video I saw of the kid. My first impression upon reading about him was that he may be best served on the defensive side. But, after watching his video, I really like him in the slot.

The kid has a very reputable offer list and the rivals database has not been updated. I bet he's a high 3 star when it's all said and done.

This class can be as big as 30 or so depending on number of early enrollees. Still lots of room to add. We need as many players as we can get in this class regardless of "recruiting ranking."

And if I remember correctly, Zanders and I think Cheadle already indicated they are planning on enrolling early. Obviously, could be more too.

Truth. And I don't think adding this recruit was about keeping the Texas pipeline open. He's a current player's brother. And seems to be underrated.

A few reporters from PM seem to think Stepfawn will receive a rating boost at some point. Has too strong of an offer list to be a 2*.

I was wondering the same thing. On average, about 3-4 month recovery time. That puts you at the end of the year. I wonder if he wouldn't finish out his senior year at home to finish his rehab at home.

I would think the coaches will have a large input on this but if it were me I would assume the college will have a better medical staff and facilities to rehab so I would try to arrive there asap.
