I feel like they know at some point they will offer him so I do not see the why they are waiting for so long. Hopefully there is some dialogue with him so he knows he is not being shunned. As for Frazier, I wouldnt rule it out 100%, but looking at who his favorites are as of now and knowing how late we offered him just does not make me optimistic. But crazier things have happened.

Offered 3* Texas safety Payton Hendrix today.

Looks like Markel Smith plans on visiting Mizzou, Iowa and Ole Miss. Something about Ole Miss makes me nervous. Markel was pushing Bauer. Then, when Bauer committed to Ole Miss, Markel withdrew his commitment to Mizzou.

Thought Goolsby was also really high on Arkansas. Any insight from our Arky posters? I would love to get Goolsby, but with every spot that fills up without any DLine I'm growing more and more concerned.
I think that interest might have been a little overblown by a certain Arkansas recruiting guy. He is definitively very interested as he visited twice this summer already but our recruiting guy was talking about expecting him to commit soon while Goolsby was saying that he was still wide open. He and his family have known our WR coach since he was born so some think that makes him a lock too.
We have one TE committed already and want one more. Goolsby and Ravian Pierce look to be our top two targets. I think they would take whoever wanted to commit first, assuming that even happens, and then parting ways with the other.

Jared will be an interesting pick.
I think he picks the Hogs, seems to be the indication I've seen, but there's a chance he wants to play in more of a spread so could Mizzou.

Thank you Mizzou fans for all the love today.
Don't know if it changes the final result, but apparently you twitterers (is that a word?) made a good impression. Take it, that it was done right.

We'll DGB payback your arse with Frazier, pressure to stay home will keep him home.

So the staff doesn't pay any attention to or use the various service's rankings/ratings. Yet when I looked at Eddie Printz's page on the MU website, I see this:
I guess they use it when it's convenient and ignore it when it's not.

I do find it weird. But my thought there is maybe they use it as a recruiting tool to showcase current players to prospects? By showing that we do have some high profile athletes here, esp. At the quarterback position.
idk though because i have heard Pinkel say again and again they don't look at stars soooooooo WDWWD

Did someone just compare marketing with player evaluation? I hope I misread that.

Naw, just pointed out yet another double standard that the coaching staff uses.
Posted on 8/7/13 at 9:35 am to reedus23
The coaching staff doesn't do the write-ups on mutigers.com. The AD has people for that and they do the write ups for all sports.

Reedus, I don't think the coaching staff has anything to do with writing the biography of players.
I would willing to bet that it was a non-coaching staff member that did the write up. I wouldn't read too much into recruiting rankings being included at all.

Believe me, I forgot about it as soon as I posted it. Just caught my eye when I was reading his bio.

I never saw the bio. I thought it was from coaching staff. And if was from the coaching staff why wouldnt they use anything to their advantage?
