Important Baseball Game Management Policies

In adherence to Southeastern Conference and MSU Game Management Policy, all ice chests and ice coolers, regardless of size, will be checked at all gates prior to entry into Dudy Noble Field-Polk Dement Stadium this season. Individuals with prohibited items will be denied entry. Stadium gates will open two hours prior to first pitch, with servicing of suites and outfield rigs permitted on game day until 30 minutes prior to the gate opening time. All individuals must exit the stadium 30 minutes prior to gate opening and may reenter at gate opening after their tickets have been scanned.

If you have any questions about Mississippi State Game Management Policies, please email eventmgt@athletics.msstate.edu.

They did this back when I was a freshman. Throw a few waters on top and you'll be fine.

Also the gates stay open up until 2 hours before the game. Just walk it in then. No big deal.

They used to give us new "rules" every year, and nothing was ever any different. I'm sure yalls will be the same as well

Yeah nothing will change. They will turn the blind eye. They don't wanna ruin something that has been happening forever.

Lol, you mean like the left field lounge? Because they are destroying that next year.

My sources tell me we are only about the half way mark on raising the money needed to get started. I don't think it will be next year.

Do you think the majority of the upgrades will be done to the stadium and such first before they build the lofts/ suites in left field? That's kind of what I had figured they would do, but didn't know for sure. Imo, they are messing up if they do away w/ left field. It's one of the truly unique places in college baseball

I don't know and not sure they know how this thing is going to be staged. Alabama essentially bulldozed their stadium and played an entire season at Hoover Met. We don't have anything that close. I have heard of a plan to start demolition as soon as a season ends and get enough done before the next season to be able to play there and work around the construction. That seems dangerous. You were at UMC during some of the construction and you know how big the footprint is for the building itself but staging areas take just about as much. The need for staging might occupy the space where the lofts will eventually go, so it might be a second phase. I think all of the hoopla over the LFL will die down once they have been in it for a year or two. I don't go out there much because I go to watch baseball and there are too many distractions and the sight lines where I go are bad.

If I could get rid of all my stuff up there without taking a bath, I would probably be done with it and just make occasional visits. They are taking the fun out of it one piece at a time.

It will certainly be different, and no doubt nice, but I agree with you that making lfl different than it is currently is a bad idea. It's what people think about when they think of msu baseball

First, No. The stadium will be the first thing to be demolished and redone.

Second, LOL. The left field lounge will end up being way better than it is now. People that are mad are just mad because they won't be able to get what they have been getting for 30 years at a dirt cheap rate. People that are mad and haven't even been getting a LFL every year are really puzzling.

Cohen said in an interview a while back he was "optimistic" to break ground right after this season.

If this team has a good run I think that happens, if we don't then it is definitely getting tabled for another year.

Yes

Part of this is money, but the bigger part is crowd control

They want to get rid of the "bring in booze" and probably sell "in house" booze at greatly inflated rates provided by national sponsors. Been noticing this at several SEC venues the past year or two.

Can't do that in state owned property in Mississippi.

So what if they sold or gifted the left field lounge area to the Bulldog Club...not exactly sure, but isn't it a private entity? I believe that's how LSU got around such a rule and started selling alcohol in their stadium club at Tiger Stadium, through the Tiger Athletic Foundation.

For example, in our Rebel club and your Bulldog club, you have a locker and are allowed to stock it however you please. However, no alcohol is being sold in either. And I'm really happy it isn't. We can buy more for way less that way
