A guy I know coached at Maben for his first ever job right out of State. It was a 1A school and had an NFL player in Donald Lee and a CFL player in Randy Bell.

I was joking about Maben. Knew some very cool girls from there while in school.

Some of my most fun bar-like times were had on Sunday nights out at the Highlands clubhouse. Live music by the pool, byob, and a driving range. Good times. Usually involved a run to West point for brews.

Them city keeps busting underage kids at mugshots. The cotton district is fun but there and downtown is it. Need more bars and less cops

Only for the Affliction/Tapout wearers.
Not anymore. I went a couple weeks ago and it was a pretty good crowd. They've been getting good bands.
I think the Affliction shite is going out of style finally, I haven't seen much of it around this year.

ABC loves dates parties now. A normal night at Rick's I haven't seen any ABC but I've only been in there 2 times this year.

I never understood why they shut down the clubhouse and golf course. I guess cause of too many drunk rednecks mud riding over all the fairways?

You and I are probably contemporaries. Spent most of my time at State at Cheers, Landing, Club, and Mulligans.
Went to Doug's and some place out by the airport (Southfork?) during my druggie times.

Dave's- My favorite and most frequented bar in Starkville
Zorbas- Great downtown location, and I always enjoy going there
Halfway House- I think they they have the best beer selection in Starkville. Aside from the Bin, it is my favorite place to get an afternoon beer.

I actually prefer Dave's because you get somewhat of an older crowd. I am 27, and I think it has the best atmosphere for someone that falls in that age demographic. It is a laid back atmosphere with the best local music in Starkville.

agreed. Not really because Daves is so awesome. It's just the best option for the upper 20's crowd. And usually good music. I wish they would rennovate more or expand or move somewhere where more than 30 people can watcht he people on stage.
