Yep, we survived rounds 1 and 2. The best available ticker has him at #5, so he'll probably come off rather quickly tomorrow.

at least we have a chance now...but he needs to keep falling

I think he needs to come to State and play both, see where it goes

You are witness #1 of my consistent opinion on this with Zero support...

For a #40 to fall past #73, he's a perceived signing risk. Makes it past the early 3rd(where they could still conceivably overpay enough to sign him), he's gonna drop like a f'n rock and will be at MSU in the fall.

Fingers still crossed!

Right now this website has him 9th best prospetct still available. LINK

That would put at 82. They could still pay him in that slot. We shall see how far he drops and what they offer him. There is no penalty to over pay for a slot but only to go over your total cap#.

It's all about asking price and sign ability now. This happened with Fla St qb signee Jameis Winston last year. He was a top 50 prospect but fell to the 13th round.

Fourth round over. Frazier has still not been drafted.

ETA: Round 5 - Still no Frazier.

Frazier taken with pick 179 by the Pirates.

Pick 235 of the 8th round is Kendall Graveman by the Toronto Blue Jays.

Some good news: 10 rounds went by and Dakota Hudson was not drafted.

Great news.

Hate to say we're "safe" with the highschool guys because it always seems we lose one of them in a WTF round(like Dupont last year)... but I feel better about that part.

Hudson(and Collins) are huge recruits for us...

Hudson not taken until the 1090th pick. Good sign for us. This guy could be a first rounder in a couple of years.

Good article on Reid Humphrey from Northwest Rankin. Could he be our starting SS next year?

We have some pretty impressive new players getting playing time next year. I am looking forward to it.
