We need to make an actual hire THIS offseason. You can't expect a miracle in year two but you can sure as shite expect improvement. The team isn't improving, they don't play disciplined and they can't execute fundamentals. Some of the issues can be laid on lack of size. Others, like shitty free throw shooting, can't be excused.

I'm not ready to give up on RR just yet.
Give him two more years to recruit and do his thing.
It's hilarious how y'all were such staunch Stans supporters even though it was painfully clear he needed to go long ago.

I agree on one year but two more is ridiculous. It shouldn't take four fricking years to build a basketball team.

Well I wasn't happy with Stansbury, but at least we always had a talented player or two to watch.

Ok it's agreed then, one more year then it's #FireRickyRay time, IF he doesn't come through like Moffan

And getting Malik wouldn't even be up for debate. You forget that part of the shite show didn't go down until he left, its a lot easier to rebuild with Rodney Hood on the floor.
Yeah, we would have a 0% chance for Malik if Stans was still here. Haratio isn't a big fan.
Hood had already decided to go before Stans left.
Stans was even slacking in recruiting towards the end of his career. Johnny O'Bryant, Tyler Adams, Andre Stringee, Laquinton Ross. All MS kids he whiffed on.

Yeah, I don't buy the 4 year thing. Maybe if we're talking strictly "make the NCAA tourney or get fired".
If we aren't an NIT team in year 3 or at the very least knocking on the door, it's time. That is not asking for too much. I'm not lowering my standards from Stans to Ray once he has had time to rebuild.

I don't know what Hood's actual decision was based on, but in his interview he specifically said he left because Stans did, so I've never bought that he was leaving anyway.

And in a different interview, his dad said they had made the decision for Rodney to transfer midseason.

Ah I got you, had only seen the one.

Yeah, basically no one knows the truth -- but you can tell which side of the debate most people fall on by how they see the Hood transfer...

2 things. First, I don't believe his dad stated WHY he was going to transfer. Second, Rodney told you why.
In short, the 2 statements do not contradict each other.
I agree that in basketball, it should not take half a decade to turn things around. I did not like the hire. I also did not like the way the AD handled it. He should have known what was going to happen and the searching begun before the season was over. He should have had it narrowed down to his top 3 a month prior to the season ending.
Total mess up from the start.
BTW... how's the coach at USM doing in the same mount of time?

Oh for fricks sake, please show me a Stansbury team that ever shot fricking free throws well.

You are aware that Eustachy left the program in really good shape. 25-9 his last year and in the NCAA tournament.

Lick the freckle on my left check. You don't like what I say, don't read, don't respond and certainly try to grow up this decade.
