Oh, like "if we want to win, we better start Dak" because he is a dual threat?
Posted on 10/6/13 at 11:57 pm to darkhorse
I think that Russell should start. The LSU defense blitzed Russell when he was in the game. They didn't Dak because he can run, but he isn't really a very good passer yet. He made some great throws last night, but if the first man wasn't open he usually ran it himself. We moved it with Russell in the game.

If Russell starts, they need to allow him to run more. He ran it twice in the 2nd quarter and had 20 yards.
If they let him do that, we actually will have a dual threat Qb more so than with Dak.

Dude that one run for a first down was one of the slowest things I've ever seen ever.
You serious bro? Tom Brady running for a first down doesn't mean he's all the sudden Russell Wilson.

God Damn Mullen for letting TR get two touchdowns and in turn giving Darkhorse an arguement.

No.. You are right. It won't make him the best running qb. But he can do it well enough to keep defenses guessing. Even if it is slow. He did it. He was successful. The TD pass to Wilson, Russell faked the run and passed it. It pulled all the LBs up and the safety allowing a 1 on 1.
Dak has to be able to complete alot more passes or he will continue to be none effective in the late 3rd and 4th quarters.
In the 4th quarter vs Auburn, Dak rushed it 9 times for a total of 18 yards. His completion ratio in the 4th, in the first series 1 out of 3 (33%) for 1 yard gain! Second series, 50% completion for 8 yards.
Dak rushed 22 times and got 133 yards. 9 times in the 4th for 18.

I know this gal. She's from LA... used to be one of the Girls on Trampolines for The Man Show. Usually a blonde. She lives in Huntsville now and did quite a bit of modeling for me about 8 or 9 years ago.

FWIW, I applaud the OP. I wasn't mad either. LSU was fantastic on Saturday night. We were pretty good until we missed the FG. After we didn't hold serve, the wind seemed to go out of our sails.
Al Davis made his receivers go to the ball when it was thrown. Our guys don't have that mentality. They want to be hit in stride with a perfect pass. Dak and Tyler would both be helped out a great deal with a "That's my fricking ball and you can't have it" attitude.

This. I mean we all expected to lose, and we moved the ball, used both qb's, and had a ballgame in the fourth. We don't have a huge opponent this week. No one predicted a great season this year. We have shown that we have the ability to make a bowl and get a few decent wins this year. Gotta keep grindin. Hopefully these boys are figuring out how to compete. Secondary and kicker gotta step their game up and this season can still be somewhat successful depending on how you look at it. Looking forward to Arky, Ole Miss, and Kentucky games now.

Honestly I thought our ceiling for this season was 7 wins. The Auburn game infuriated me, but other than that it has pretty much gone like I thought it would.
