Morning fellas. What's the word on OLB Amonte Caban from y'alls side? I saw this quote he made last weekend:
What's the confidence level there?
This kid is a stud. Absolute missile on the field. I'm hoping he gets an Alabama offer, but it appears that he has had very little contact with the Bama staff. He didn't even mention them in the article I read.
Thoughts?

I guess Saban is letting us have him because he feels bad for stealing Leo.

I know this is MSU fan blasphemy but Caban and Lewis are close and Caban may be a bigger hitter. I'm really hoping for both. Would be 2 heat seeking missiles at LB.

They do look similar, but Lewis is bigger physically and as a hitter.
I've watched his film at least a dozen times and I still get this feeling while watching it:
Caban is good. I wish he had more interest in Bama. But Lewis is better. He'll probably end up in the Top 10 by the final rankings.

Oh I don't deny that at all. You're dead on. All I'm saying is that If MSU were to miss on Lewis but land Caban, I could live with that. If MSU was able to land both...

Gotta remember Bama just signed 6 LBS this past year and are LOADED at LB
State signed one in 2013 and 2 in 2014 we are Jr SR heavy at LB and will likely sign 4-5 this year and can promise some PT as well
That definitely is helping with guys like Leo and Caban

Anyone heard anything new on McNair since he got his UF offer?
I'm not really expecting us to hold him at this point. Hope I'm wrong. At the very least, a UF offer should be good for an extra star.

He didn't immediately flip which is a good thing. The fact that he's taking his time is a good sign that we may hold on. Also shows our staff knows how to identify talent
