I like his video. I didn't know Smoot was big on him, it's a head scratcher that our staff hasn't offered him.

Penn St has Bench(a 2 or 3* depending) and a bunch of 4* qb's. If we go after one, he would be my LAST preference of any that they have...

I wish we could grab a stud OL. That could be the difference in a couple wins.

Agreed. I'd take a lineman or a good Tight-End/Receiver, but lineman would definitely be my first priority.

It's hard to do all of that, unless you have a prior relationship with the player. Merlin recruited Bench. I don't think he has with anyone else on their roster.

Walker Jones committed to Alabama this afternoon. He had this to say about Mississippi State:

Grinders, how do y'all feel about your chances with JUCO DB Justin Cox? He is taking an OV to UGA and we need DB's but I know nothing about this kid.

He is originally 20 miles outside of Starkville, signed with State out of HS, and was placed at East MS CC by State.
I feel VERY good about getting him.

I don't feel like Bundy does. He has stated that he is open up to anyone recruiting him. He may end up at State, but it isn't a sure thing like a lot of posters on here believe. Also, he is a hell of a player and can fly. He will be a great pick up for anyone that gets him.

Kid was lightly recruited out of HS and Mullen was his only BCS offer. This time, he's highly sought after, and he's enjoying the process he didn't get the first time.
He plans to take all 5 visits, and may end up swayed to go elsewhere, but like Al, I will be surprised by anything other than MSU. All of the coaches that recruited him initially are still in place, and he knows that he is the obvious heir apparent to Banks' role in our defense...
