Call it the one weekend I'm glad we didn't play because we probably would've dropped one to the Kentucky School of the Blind at the rate the rest of the conference was going. It's pretty clear there's a drop off for the conference, but I still think an Alabama or LSU can win the mNC.

Florida looks better with Murphy, probably making that game less winnable then it was with Driskel. It'll be interesting to see if we can get some pressure on him and how he'll handle it. It helps a bit that Florida's secondary is dinged up and at least one won't be playing the first half of the game due to the targeting rule. I think we can hang but I don't know that we can get a W there at this point. Not unless our offense improves significantly in the off-period.

Tennessee looks very beatable right now (subject to change of course). I truly believe if we can develop just a serviceable offense and our defense builds upon their UofL performance then we can beat the Vols. Obviously this can change, but their QB situation may be worse than ours.

Alabama will likely wake up, hit their stride, and massacre us.

I believe South Carolina was also off this week. Still think Shaw prevents a very, very tough matchup for us.

Vandy struggled with a winless UMass team until the talent took over in the 4th. IMO Vandy is better than us at this point, but it's still on my radar as a team that we could possibly sneak up and beat.

Mississippi State fans are convinced Dak Prescott is the next Cam Newton. Troy is not the Troy of the days when they were giving a mNC-esque Florida trouble. It remains to be seen whether Muffin can make it 5 in a row against us.

FWIW, I feel a little bit better about the conference slate. Like I've said before, it may not translate into wins just yet but I think we have a puncher's chance in a few games that we maybe wouldn't have before the season started.

Don't know about that. Someone is going to sneak in and bite us in the behind, why not UK? Last time we played there you gave us a scare.
Anyway I am looking forward to a several day stay at KY Horsepark.
Stae fans are delusional and I think UT is winnable

I just don't see it. As pissed as AJ seemed last night, I'm thinking the 'Bama wake up call comes this weekend against Ole Miss. They have a salty enough bunch of get them back on their heels if they're not careful.

I think Kentucky had a real chance against Florida before Driskel went down. Now I don't think so.

Tennessee will either improve greatly by the end of the year or will completely collapse. I'm leaning on the latter so that's good news for Kentucky.

Alabama.... no comment

South Carolina doesn't look that great, especially on defense. I think this is Kentucky's best shot at a real upset.

Vanderbilt is looking like a very winnable game for Kentucky. Both teams look to be about on the same level

Mississippi State is still Mississippi State. I think this game is a lot like the Vandy game. I think you guys win one of the two

It certainly looks better for you now than it did three weeks ago.

You're crazy. Only team that was effective on us was UGA, and they're pretty good on offense.

We held a decent UNC team to 10 and a decent Vanderbilt team to 25, with two scores being because of mental errors from the offense and special teams.

I'm sorry to Kentucky faithful, but there's no real chance of an upset for them. Especially with us being at home.

FWIW, you could've never told me Joker would've beat Spurrier either so it's why they play the game.

Like I said though, Shaw presents a nightmare matchup for us with a thin secondary and his ability to rush. They're one of the least likely to upset on my list.

decent Vanderbilt team to 25,

Ummmm, have you seen Vandy play any other game? They aren't good. I mean they are better than UK, but clearly not good.

Belle,
I'm glad UK had the week off.
Florida will be interesting, I thought with Driskel that they're offense would struggle, and somewhat looked better with Murphy, but I'm not sold that he will play that well consistently. The problem is that he is a mobile QB which will give us fits, and that concerns me.
Tennessee is still figuring things out, not sure what they will actually look like at the end of the season.
USC,Ga and Bama are sure losses, but I don't put any other game in that category.
Bama is just playing to their competition, and showed that against ATM. Bama will win the title again, probably in a blowout.

I look at UK's schedule and go, Florida might still yet be a win if the offense can produce. USC, GA, and Bama are losses as I said.
Everyone else on the schedule is beatable by UK if they can play well all around. Miss State, Missouri, Vandy, Tennessee are all winnable as I type this in my mind.

Not trying to be a dick on an opposing team's board that was nice enough to give me access, but it seems as though most have forgotten how good UF's defense is.

UK's best chance is to be aggressive on D and try to turn UF over. Our offense isn't good, but as long as it's not turning the ball over, it's good enough to win us double digit games paired with our defense.

I don't see anyone necessarily doubting your defense. Just that there's a good chance in a low scoring matchup (if UK plays anything on defense like it did against UofL) to possibly take it.

It'll at the very least be interesting to see how Murphy handles pressure on the road. UK will get it with Z. Smith, Dupree, and Williamson in there.

No argument Florida has a good D, but the O is suspect and who knows how Murphy handles a road game.
UK had a really good defensive game against Bridgewater and UL in general, and if they play that well again this week, and it's a big if, this could be a game at the end like the UL game. That's all I'm saying.
I don't think we are dismissing UF overall, but think the offense is not that good, and a couple of breaks can make a game like this close to the end.

And FWIW the Rant response is in large part to your fellow fans guaranteeing the win going away. It's pretty silly considering the quality of Gator play this season.

Good thoughts. I'd say most likely chances at wins are @MSU, Mizzou, @Vandy and UT. UT has me perplexed a bit. Even taking into consideration who they were playing, I thought the way UT played the 1st two games were solid. Then not so much the last 2. Having a hard time figuring out what kind of team they have this year. Vandy is solid but beatable. Verdict is still out on Mizzou until they play some one legit. Good win against Indiana, but let's see how they handle the SEC grind now.

No question in my mind that the winner of the Bama/LSU game wins the title, assuming they have no other losses along the way.

What Cam Cameron has done for the LSU offense is AMAZING! Mett looks like a different QB. Some guys are just great coordinators, and he is one of them.

I agree with this 100%. Before this year, my impression was that Mett was LSU's version of Blaine Gabbert at Mizzou. Tall. NFL type arm. Just not a quarterback. Have been really impressed this year though.
