What is a fair minimum wage where you live?

It is currently $7.25 where I live (Georgia/Alabama). I think that it should be around $8.50-$9.00 (minimum) per hour here to be perfectly fair.
It keeps our economy healthier that way considering the market crash of 2007 and a bit of rise of inflation.
Everyone pays in the end. So this slight raise now means no difference down the road if you think about it.

Raising the minimum wage is a complete economic fallacy. The economy is about balance and when the earnings are higher, prices are going to be higher. It's going to take a few years but you'll see it happen eventually.
The only way to secure the desired effect of minimum wage is to install price ceilings, which to my knowledge, isn't happening

With all the undocumented workers being let in to the work force, you can get labor for less than $5.00.
