Wasn't meant to be an insult...if we're going to keep the board exclusive we might as well not let in every person that asks unless they have some ties to the state or current posters. Right now it's a secluded group and only about a third to a half routinely post on the other boards. It doesn't need to be the SECR flamefest just about Georgia. If we're going to open it for good then whatever, but if not I say no.

Yes, its a free board where you don't have to pay a membership for posting rights. But It's a privilege to be able to post on a forum rid of trolls.

I have preached against board exclusivity for over a year now, even when I was one of the few with access.
More posters means more posts, more contributions, more activity, more points of view, more growth.
As long as you keep the trollers/flamers to a minimum, it makes no sense to prevent would-be contributors from participating.

When the UGA board gets admins like the other boards have I could see adding more fans from other teams. As it is now tho we have no "back door channel" to expedite getting rid of trolls. Our only current recourse is a thread here on the help board that might or might not be read & acted upon by an admin...
We can't police our own board yet like other teams can so currently it just makes sense to restrict access to the Dawgrant to the Top 1% of the Top 1% of non-UGA posters...
