Is there anybody out there that can make a tigerdroppings app. I can't be the only one out here thinking they need this app.

Feel free to start a fund to pay for development. The site already has a mobile version. kind of.

The mobile site has always worked okay for me.

An app would be awesome. But with how big this site is now it would take pretty sophisticated code I would imagine.

And it definitely wouldn't be free.

Big thing would be the underlying architecture and how easy it would be for an external application to plug in. I've talked to Chicken before and he's told me that the message board software is mostly custom. I was asking him why he didn't use an out of the box type of solution like VBulliten which many large communities use. This layout has come a long long way in the past almost 10 year.

I would be willing to pay I it came with some cool features. Notifications, Team game streaming links, and contacts just to name a few. I just think something this big could be even bigger with an application format.

The mobile Internet is only getting faster. Smartphone processors, browsers, and clock speeds are only going to get quicker.
My iPhone 5 is so fast on LTE-a wireless data benchmark that is soon going to become the standard in this country-renders most websites (including this one) almost as fast-if not faster-than my Charter Wi-Fi.
Apps to render regular Internet content are soon to be meaningless if they aren't already. Within 12-18 months, most people who access TD on mobile devices will either access using tablets that use WiFi or on smartphones with LTE or perhaps greater wireless data delivery standards and tech.
The cost of a good app's coding and development is 10K minimum...simply doesn't make a lot of sense.

I just saved the link to my homepage and it appears with the TD logo, it's no different in format than using TD on a laptop, kicks the shite out of an app and I prefer it to the mobile site also
