Why do you let it bother you? There's 7 pages of real discussion and you're hung up on one dumb picture. You can't just keep scrolling?

Because no one tries to be clever anymore, it always devolves into rustled jimmies talk, which no one even knows the meaning of in the first place.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think he was talking by way of example, not specifically about the usage in this particular thread.

What exactly do you want to see happen? You are speaking meta and critiquing everything, but I'm not sure I know what you would like to see happen. Do you stand by your "don't take it seriously" comment. Or if there a rule or two you would enact if you were king for a day?
Also, by way of aside, I think it is a shame that this thread was moved to the SEChb, though it probably did belong here in the first instance.

I believe the SECr has some very shitty aspects - overused memes and cliches chief among them.
But I find it very easy to ignore. They hardly register. If a thread is completely dominated by them and it's not funny, I leave the thread and don't even think about. There are generally a sizable number of esoteric threads on the first page I have no interest in anyways, simply because of the subject matter.
The pissing and moaning and the "please ban any poster who uses X" is actually more bothersome to me than the shitty memes. Just get over it already.
