Chicken, I propose a rule change regarding team board 'admins' access

Why can other ranters post on another team board? Doesn't that defeat the purpose?
For example, Ross (auburn mod) posted out the blue on the UGA board. Has he been cleared by the boards' posters? frick no he hasn't.
What are we doing here? The UGA board is welcoming to others. What is with the automatic shite though?
The Dawgrant, and I will speak for them, finds this shite ridiculous.
Why does some Auburn 'admin' have any power on the UGA board?

For once I agree with Wild Thang. Tbird started a thread on our board just to show us he could post there. It was a complete bullshite thread asking for some random poster's email who hasn't posted in months.
And even on the off chance that someone knew this guy's email address, we wouldn't just give it out. The only reason for the thread was so Tbird could tell everyone he's an admin on the Aggy board now. Like we give a frick.

"Power"? I can't do anything but post on that board and I only did because the Auburn board was mentioned. Sorry if you feel that completely ruined the quality of the board to you. I can assure you I have virtually no interest in interacting with the DawgRant bros on any sort of regular basis.
I'm sorry, did you or did you not create a thread specifically mentioning both Auburn and Alabama on that board. And you want to tell others to keep that topic off the board?

He's the biggest attention whore this side of Draconian. He melted hard when no one would acknowledge his tirades in the Bama board access thread. Posted the same thing over and over and no one took the bait. If he doesn't pitch a fit like a 3 yr old, no one notices him at all.

You have issues if you really think that was what that was about. I told Prime months ago I would try to contact him about a legitimate issue closer to football season and that was the best way I knew how because I hadn't seen him around lately but thought he might check his team board at least.
Hell, the only other team board I post on is Mizzou and I asked for (and got) access there way before I was an admin.

I have absolutely no problem with admins getting to post on other team boards. I really don't understand the fuss. And you are hardly the type of poster who would start a thread just so people know you are an admin on the aggy board. That's ridiculous.

The original idea was to allow the board admins to sort of act as "ambassadors" between the team boards. I assure you that if it bothers you and the rest of the Georgia board to have me post on the board then I won't do it. Sorry if it ruined your day.

You're kind if reaching here. I'm of the welcome all until there is a problem opinion. If Ross isn't stirring up shite and flaming uga then what's the harm of him posting over there? I don't really mind anyone, yourself included, posting on the bama board. I post on the tiger rant and lsurb but I'm aware of where I'm posting and don't flame on either of those boards. As long as that is the mindset visitors to other boards take I don't see an issue at all.
If visitors are kept on a short leash with a shock collar then admins get to massage their egos with banishment power trips and those that behave get to discuss another team civilly, something that can't be done on the SECr. It's a win/win IMO.

Should questions arise about how one board is operating versus another, the other admins might be able to step in and answer the question. If the board is completely isolated, but a certain contingent wants the board to be open, it offers a (very slight) opportunity to allow for an opposing viewpoint.
