I feel like every year the same 12 win team trots out on the court.

If South Carolina and Mississippi St. can get good coaches why can't we? We've done it in all the the other women's sports (soccer, volleyball, softball, track and field, gymnastics)

I know no one cares about women's basketball except Baylor and Uconn, but when do we start getting serious?

Coach Butler had a long leash given she was an alumni and WBB flew under the radar for a very long time as we won Football, NCAAM Basketball, Baseball and Softball titles. Oh, and Track and so on.

Then, last year or so, I thought they were going to challenge with Christianaki. But, Butler totally mismanaged that locker-room situation (there was a beef between Christianaki and some other players, and a freshman picked a fight with her and Butler benched them both). I think it was a setup by some players to take Christianaki out. Eleanna was having none of it, and walked off the team.

So, yeah. Its gonna be a while bro.

Had high hopes for Newbauer just like I did for Butler and Peck. Peck won a natty as the coach for Purdue. I can't figure it out for the life of me because we excel in all the other sports.

Basketball isn't popular in Florida for women. They play soccer here.

Carol Ross actually had the women’s team at a high level in the 90s relative to the rest of the conference. She had them consistently at 2-4 in the conference and that’s back when UT was just unbeatable.

I think it is a jinx of some sort especially as Foley has hired well in so many other sports. Not like they have not gotten coaches that should have been bigger winners.

Clearly Pat was #1 and Andy #2 in the East but Missouri was not a member and SC was not a destination school until they got Dawn. Vanderbilt and Kentucky have had their moments but not like Gators could not have done better somewhere along the way.
