However, I don’t recognize who it is. Ran Carthon? Who else wore #33 the past 20 years?

I can rattle off names from the past who wore # 33, my friend Jack Harper from Lakeland who caught Spurriers first pass on a screen for 50 yds against SMU in 1964. Season opener and we were never on TV again that year and got short handed by bowl committees who thought that we would lose to LSU at the end of the season due to cancellation earlier when hurricane threated La. Hmmmm sound familiar?

We beat LSU 20-7 and finished 7-3.

Next was Larry Smith from Tampa who played one year with Spurrier in 1966 and he was AA and first rd pick of LA Rams, an accident disembarking a flight ended his career before it started...but he did sue the airline company and made more than playing on the field. A lot more.
