I knew it was a bad idea. This guy is AWFUL. Why did Jon have to hire his buddy?

The offense not being able to run the ball is as big a joke as the defense considering that is what you have to do with what Buster likes to run. We dont have a QB on this roster that can stand back there and win games passing without the running game working. We also have a tackle that cant block anyone on a normal passing play he isnt protected on.

It is year 1...we are bad...is what it is. Yiu were deluaional if you thought we were goibg to do very well in year 1 of a new staff with all we need to fix.
I will not hammer tge coaching staff this year. Most of us knew it was coming in the preseason, got optomistic adter Oke Miss. .reality has sunk in

It's more of a personnel issue with players not adapting to the new defensive scheme. But expect some position coach changes after the season.

We used to have Lagway with his arm. But keep sucking on Philo and Tramell. Apparently they're a lot better

Lagway would do just like he did last season with how our running game and lines played the last 2 games. We actually had a couple of decent NFL caliber linemen last season though they didnt play as a group that good due to Napier's mess.

Lag has the natural talent. Just has no field sense at all. If he had a great coach like Spurrier, he would do pretty good. But yea..his head is not very good. He is def no Tom Brady.

Spurrier is one of the best QB coach in CFB history. I think he could. Not make him a world-beater....but make him better at his main issues(reading the field and giving up on the play way to soon)

Agree he’d make him better but Lagway would still suck and spurrier would likely bench him

Depends on who are back-up is honestly. If we had depth(we usually did when he was here, but today is very different with the transfer portal), people are rarely willing to ride the bench and learn now.

That O-line and run game was weak in 24 but he still made it work and we beat Ole Miss and LSU that year. This is a waste of year 1 for Sumrall. You can't build off this. A lot of the roster has to be let go and need to recruit majority of the team again. Gotta get in the portal for immediate results.

What a great coach and staff. Top 10 transfer portal class. Their entire offense is from the portal. All you have to do is coach them up to your system. Them boys up in lexington realizing the real moneymaker is football, not basketball. It's getting scary.

It ain't the 90s anymore. Spurrier should just ride into the sunset.
We definitely need to get rid of the weak minded players on this team. A bunch of them. You want to build toughness in your program. Time to start benching and punishing players for this kind of performance. What they see in practice is not translating in the game. So make practice tougher. I hate that he admits Monday's are a walkthrough. frick that make it harder. Make these guys quit. They're getting paid now. No excuse. It's time to clean house on these bitches. None of them have NFL futures except for Baugh. Time to make them realize they're just a bunch of G5 kids. Go to daddy Napier at JMU then.

We won the 24 Ole Miss game because the defense showed up nice that game against a good offense and Ole Miss didn't realize you couldn't let Lagway have those single coverage deeper passes with time to get the pass off.
