I remember being them last year. Making up ways we could win. And they very well could next Saturday. I don’t see this being a blowout.

Honestly, we usually play pretty poorly vs. mobile quarterbacks, but there's a pretty big difference here:

Their offensive line is atrocious. Francois won't have much time to extend the play because I think they're going to go after him early and often because he makes awful decisions under pressure.

He hit less than 50% of his passes in the last three games, and honestly I think that's going to be the difference. We saw vs. South Carolina that our offense is starting to switch it up regarding how our players get the ball, mostly because we haven't been able to get a good downfield passing game quite yet.

This could be a huge game for Franks if he can keep his cool and watches some film from last year to hype himself up. All we need to do is get first downs and put up points and Florida State will wilt.

Games where FSU has failed to get 15 points:

Virginia Tech
Syracuse
Clemson
Notre Dame

Games where Florida has failed to get 15 points:

Mississippi State.

ACC defenses are weaker than SEC defenses, so that should tell you just about everything you need to know.

Francois has been battered all year from pass rushes. He will start to shortarm passes just to get rid of it after a while. Polite, Zuniga, Joseph, Moon and others will get to him.

The girls school defense has played well at times but gets tired very easily and guys like DL Christmas may only play 1/3 of the snaps.

I expect them to play above their heads for a while, but once we get a two score lead...the mental attitude will change.

The game plan is clear as day. Same game plan as the whole year.

Create turnovers and pressure the QB. Hopefully not giving up big plays on defense.

Run the ball and wear down the defense.

We rested Scarlett for a reason. We also need a good DL rotation to keep our guys going fresh. Id like to see Carter out there some more as he did well last week. I eouldnt mind seeing Jones as well as imo this game is bigger than a bowl game. This is for states rights.

Just a reminder, it’s supposed to be a rainy one in Tally this Saturday.

Put it this way.

If Mullen loses, he will lose all good faith he's built up with the fanbase.

FSU is HORRIBLE. Period. UF has absolutely ZERO business losing next week.

That's what I've been saying. There is absolutely no reason to lose to FSU this weekend, and losing to them shows that Mullen isn't ready to be under the big lights. We should win by at least 2 possessions. At least.

Especially if he knows how big this game is.

I fondly remember the monsoon rainstorm in Tally in 1986 when we won to keep our record intact of non losing seasons.

We were hurt bad by NCAA scholly reductions and the next year we were able to be on TV and signed kid out of Penscola after a battle with AU....some guy named Emmitt I think.

I don’t have a good feeling about this one guys. FSU has a lot to play for this weekend.

Bowl Eligibility
0-2 against rivals this year
Recruiting

Us?
We just came off the largest points scored game of the season. We’re on a high right now. These games turn out to be closer than they should. Can we believe we’ll be ready?

I'm cautiously optimistic, myself.

This will be the game where Dan will have to straight up outcoach the opposition. Which shouldnt be hard.

Dont buy into the BC game, its foolsgold. The BC RB was playing hurt and still had a pretty good game against them and they got a lucky heave in to win it ala us with Tennessee last year. The weather is supposed to be bad so I feel good if we can get our backs going against them, we'll win by dbl digits. Their OL is straight up bad and their QB will fold like a cheap lawn chair if Mr Polite, CeCe and Z can get to him.

1986 ? You're kidding Clark ?

I could relate rainstorm games in the sixties, but the subject matter was rain and Tally. No?

That’s still 11 years before I was born my friend

Finch, if you want to feel better about the game, just take a peak on YouTube at any of the games FSU has played this season. They have athletes, but their athletes are poorly coached and never put into positions to be successful.

Their offensive line is on par or worse than Tennessee’s. It’s atrocious. They give up 3 sacks a game. We’re going to blitz the ever loving shite out of them. They aren’t going to have time to throw anything but those stupid arse bubble screens that don’t do shite.

Their defense is Swiss cheese. Holes everywhere. Kadarius Toney and Jordan scarlett and Perine and the gang are going to run up and down the field all day. Mullen knows how big this one is. The guys will come in hungry and confident and ready to beat FSU for the first time in their careers.

I was at that game, sitting in the high school bleachers in the end zone that they used to call the visitors section. That stadium was a dump until the 1990s, now it is just a shite hole.

Can't wait to return on Saturday, I haven't been there since 2008.
