Let's start with this - looks like Free Shoes U will have a losing record for the 1st time since 1976

Gerald Ford was President and James Earl Carter had just been elected the last time the Criminoles had a losing record

Even better? My prediction is that they lose to Notre Dame, beat Boston College and then host y'all in a game that determines bowl eligibility. For them. And I think y'all will push their shite in.

I could be wrong, BC might beat them; but it's a happy though either way...

Second; y'all are leaps and bounds ahead of where I, and most others, thought you would be in year one. Dan Mullen is legit, and there is no reason to think that he won't have a really good QB on campus really soon. Most 1st year coaches struggle. Saban lost to LA Monroe. Kirby lost to Vandy and GA Tech. We were 7-5 in Kirbs 1st year; which looks like your WORST case scenario. But 8-4 should be the worst case (I see the So Carolina game as a toss up and have Gators as heavy favorites in Tallahassee) - 9-3 is still a real possibility...

Third - Mizzou has a really good team; better than their record would suggest. A letdown after an emotional game (for y'all) is not the end of the world, and Mizzou had just gotten screwed over the week before (at least that is how they see it, not sure I agree, but perception is everything) This was their super bowl and the one chance to salvage the season.

Bottom line? The future looks bright for Florida football and y'all should be excited moving forward. It would almost be better if FSU did beat BC and y'all were the ones to ensure a losing season and no bowl; but either way; reasonable Gators should be pleased with the way this season has played out.

Good luck the rest of the way

Nah. We suck.

The program has been mismanaged for years. It’ll take Mullen a while to put a good program on the field. We won’t challenge Georgia for the East division title (let alone consider a SECCG victory) for quite some time to come.

I predicted 5-7 before the year and yall laughed at me.

The fact that Mullen had this team at 6-1 is a fricking miracle.

Well..I mean laughing at you seems about right considering you were very wrong about the team..so not sure your point here.

We finish 9-3 or 8-4. We may lose to USC but FSU is such a bad..bad train wreck can't see it. Their offensive line is about as bad as it can be. Zun and Polite will absolutely kill them. Most of us expected around 8-4 this year and it's pretty much what we got. Very happy with the progress. Def need to finish this class recruiting strong though for sure. And Steele is an absolute must get.

Still laughing! 9-3 is a long way from 5-7.

I pretty much convinced myself that this season was going to be a wash and to just enjoy* the ride. Getting LSU was awesome, seeing improvement in all areas, and knew eventually the wheels could come off and we come crashing back. We all knew Franks wasn't the answer and we are thin on defense.

I hated seeing us collapse against UGA and just get wrecked against Mizzou but this wasn't going to be a first year fix. Mac crushed those players will when he flat out told them he was about to get fired right before Georgia last year.

Mullen is going to get more than 4 years because flipping coaches is bad for progress. I think it's going to be respectable for a few more years before we can try to step on the same field as Clemson and Alabama.

I look forward to the ride even though I might put a bottle to my face with performances like last weekend.

Trust the process! Cheers, Gator Nation!

I said 8-4 and like most I’m satisfied with the progress. Take the good “LSU” with the bad “Georgia” and keep making positive progress. Get some recruits and expect better play next year.

Of course I’d expect next years record to be similar to this years. The schedule steps up a notch in my opinion.

BC has a solid run game with Dillon and will most likely beat the girls school.

If Trask starts Saturday he needs to speed up delivery of the pass because he was sacked twice on Saturday for holding the ball too long. Maybe that was an issue for Mullen before? Dunno and don't care...he needs to start who he wants and if they falter then have a quick hook. Im not worried about hurting QBs feelings...we need to win.

And we could very easily finish the season 7-5 at this point.

He will get a lot faster once he gets some hours logged in.

As I've said since Kentucky: Should have had them logged in for CSU and really, should have been brought in for a few other games if only to get time.

How'd that work out for you the last time you made that argument?

It's hilarious because now I can't be positive about Trask without you being upset. What do you want me to tell the hunchback that will never be successful in the SEC, exactly, reel?

I just said that Trask would do well to get some reps and experience and reel told me to go tell Mullen.

Pretty sure those are some salty little grapes he's got but I don't think we lose anything at this moment to start getting reps to other Quarterbacks.

Even if it's just in case something happens to Franks, they clearly need the reps.
