Positive talk: UF basketball is about to start

Insanely excited about this team this year. We should have a really strong offense, and I would suspect the defense will come along as the year goes by. We have one of the most underrated PG's in the nation in Chaz, but I would put a lot of money that he is in the SEC player of the year discussion by the end of the season. Kid is a baller and while I think people were harsh on Hill, it will be nice to see him be the leader on offense.
Starters
Chizz - Like I said, is about to make a splash in conference. Will improve his defense and will be a strong court leader.
Allen - He is the key in big games. Him hot, no one in the country we can't beat. Him cold, while we have more scorers than last year, is still going to spell trouble vs the top teams.
Egor - Kid can stroke it from deep. Really excited to see him. Averaged 18 a game at rice. Should fill Robinson's scoring in very well.
Hayes - Big puzzle piece. He is going to be big on the inside with our main big man out. He has to stay out of foul trouble and be the back bone of our defense.
Hudson, Stone, and Gak provide very serviceable replacements.
This season should be fun. I plan on going to at least ten games this year. May actually move back to Gainesville in Jan, if so, I will be at every home game. Love this group, and this coach.

Yea. We have some issues but no major ones. Team could be very good. So pumped.

Should be a good season . I think the fan excitement for the team should be good this year . If Allen can be more consistent then this team will be tough to beat .

Agreed. Though I think our 3 position can put the points up as well so that will help a lot. Seems like we have two really consistent scorers. The rest will have some good, some bad games I suspect. I am concerned with scoring in the paint with the bigs until Eng is back and running. Not sure anyone truly can put their back to the basket and post up and make teams pay. Either way. This team should be fun to watch.

Think we can universally agree on that. He is putting in the work. Love his press conferences too. He is candid, laid back, and doesn't BS exactly like Billy. He tells it like it is and that's great. Gives real insight into the program instead of mundane coach speak.

How does basketball get no love here. Especially the pumpers. This is a team positive pumping is deserved for. Is it only football straws and DB care about in Gator sports? Feels like we could all unite in the idea that Gator basketball is off the chain and should be amazing to watch after a brutal football year.

It is incredibly impressive what White is doing. To follow a legend and quickly gain the confidence of the fanbase is no small thing. Program is postioned very well to succeed not only this year, but for many years in the future.

Agreed. Following Donovan is not an easy task. He has picked up and done well. Really similar to Donovan in a lot of ways as well. Excited to see what he does in his time here.
