I'm guessing that he put in Zaire because he felt that a mobile quarterback could be more effective behind the turnstiles.
I didn't watch the presser so maybe this question was asked?

Zaire went in after we were down 26-17 (yes the drive after Franks fumble). Nuss proceeds to let the RUNNING quarterback throw 17 times in a quarter and a half after not allowing Franks to throw but 9 times in two and a half quarters. It makes zero sense. It's almost comical.

Zaire is small and had ZERO pocket presense.
With how much man coverage Michigan played, it made absolutely ZERO sense that there were no crossing routes for our WRs and quick inside routes to our RBs.
It made zero fricking sense.
THERE WAS NO GAMEPLAN.

We're on the same page. It's fricking infuriating.

It's time for Franks to be the starter. He is the further and best QB talent on the roster. Del rio will be a sitting duck behind this OL. The need to give Franks a chance. A 7-5 year with Franks as the starter is better then 8-4 with Zaire and Del rio .

This.
We all know UF sucks now. Start Franks and let him grow and make mistakes.

To me it seem like the watching the spring game offense all over again the 30 yard catch from Hammond on the 2nd or 3rd play of the game same route same part of the field about the same amount of yards on the play.
Also I think Mac and nuss came up with this game plan and come he'll or high water were sticking to it because deep down they thought it would work and I truly believe that they were so flustered that it did they did not know what adjustments to make that would work. Mac looked lost on the side line when plays simply did not work you never saw him talking to nuss discussing things he trust nuss way to much and needs to make some harsh drastic decisions on play calling immediately.

All of you wanting Franks to take his lumps need to stop the fire Mac train then...cause we are going to lose games my friends. He needs to play but NOT when the game is on the line. He is only 227 lbs and he is almost 6'6....what don't any of you understand? He isn't grown yet physically....but frick it...let him play and watch his footwork.
Against NoCo he will look great....but UT & UK? Be prepared if we are 1-3 and don't bitch about it then.

Do you think we win the SEC or atleast the east with Zaire or Del rio ? If not why not play Frank's ? I think Frank's gives us the best chance because he looked better the Zaire and he is more likely to improve.

I'm perfectly fine with it.
Let the youngins develop for a change.

Atl, please. You don't throw the ball a lot early in college football unless you are big twelve team, We tried to establish a RUN GAME and obviously it didn't work....you HAVE TO RUN.

He got his foot stepped on both times. Once by Goolsby and the other by McCoy. Not exactly like Franks was tripping over his own fricking feet out there Reel.

Will Grier didnt need 2 years watching WVU's offense, and he did pretty good when the game was on the line vs a tough VTech defense. Why is it every other school out there can plug n play their QBs ala UGA ect but we have to sit them for 2-3 years so they can get on the field?
UGA threw their guy out there..
Auburn started their young gun..
Holgerson threw the keys to Grier...
Franks had last season to soak it up... its time
just my .02

I don't give a frick what conference you play in, running the ball into 8, 9, and 10 man boxes with a guy like Tyrie Cleveland outside makes zero fricking sense. There was no creativity. The plan was the be able to run the ball. We couldn't run for shite. Instead of making the adjustment and letting Franks air it out and test Michigans young DBs, Mac and Nuss fricking panicked.
It's time to develop a fricking quarterback. You don't develop a guy by benching him after giving him 9 passes in two and a half quarters. I just watched Virginia Techs true freshman quarterback throw the ball 25 times in his first career game against a ranked opponent. I just watched UGA let Jake Fromm throw the ball 7 times on his very first drive RIGHT AFTER Jacob Eason got hurt. And we gave Franks 9 passes in 2 and a half quarters. I can handle us losing because we had a freshman QB that went 14-31 with 191 yards 1 TD and 3 INT. I cannot handle losing a game because our coaches coaches like a bunch of fricking pussies. That's what made this game so unacceptable. In addition to all of that, on Franks few opportunities, HE DID FINE! He made good decisions, there was one pass where he went for Hammond and probably should have thrown it to Cleveland instead, and there was the stumble and the fumble. Overall, Franks left a lot to be positive about. It's infuriating that the staff benched him.
I'll tell you this much- Northern Colorado gave up over 300 yards to the College of Idaho.not the Vandals. The COLLEGE OF IDAHO. We had better put up 600+ yards of offense, give Franks 40+ pass attempts, and score 50+ points in this football game. I don't care who we're playing. We BETTER open this playbook up and pour it on a team that doesn't belong on the field with us. If this is a 24-0 or 31-3 type of game, I'm done with this staff. Mac, Nuss, all of them.

I would be fine with Frank's taking lumps this year and us losing a couple games if we showed any kind of pulse on offense. This is my biggest issue if we showed improvement and lost games then that happens. We had a whole offseason to prep for this game and we manage 9 first downs and crossed the fifty twice and got 3 points on offense.
What I am not fine with:
-The talk all off season about how great our O-line is and then that performance.
-9 first downs, 154 net yards, 11 net rushing yards (This is fricking insane), 3 points on offense against a defense with fewer snaps under their belt then us.
-121 out of 125 ranked offense
-Lack of respect for the coaches the players obviously have with their bonehead decisions off the field.
-Blaming players and not the coaches after 3 years of the same crap show on offense. Mac again sticking up for Nuss, Saban wouldn't do that. Their is a reason Nuss got ran out of Bama and Michigan.
-No halftime adjustments. If we do make any they don't work.
-3-9 against ranked opponents
Good news Mac said in a press conference today he plans on getting it fixed, Bit time relief there.
Northern Colorado just gave up 330+ yards to College of Idaho I cant wait until we match that performance.
