It was the right approach. Philo got the start and the chance to take the starting job back for good (after Trammel won it in Austin) and threw two picks. He lost it fair and square.

… and Jones won’t be the starter next year. This situation was a 1 year rental overall. We have to get a QB that is a difference maker throwing or running.

I don't even think he's a terrible coach. But he needs to back off on the personnel decisions. He needs to STFU and let Sumrall pick the guys for the team. All he needs to do is coach them. That's it.

They weren’t going to bench Philo due to injury. He looked like shite today and JS had a quick hook. Really all you can ask for.
I doubt Faulkner is telling JS what to do personnel wise. There’s influence, but at the end of the day the decision is Jon’s to make.

He should have been on the bench because he played like fricking arse against Miz and Scar. Jones should have been the starter because he beat Texas on the road in his first start of the season. It's simple and not complicated.

Highly disagree. Who's the starting QB? Who has been getting more targets at TE than Amir Jackson? Who has been getting more targets at WR than Dallas Wilson? Who is our starter at Center who can't even call out protections let alone our starting QB. Get rid of the GT guys. We need SEC guys.
