I think our defense may take a step back but our offense should be damn salty. Blackshear doesn't have the foot speed to defend like Hayes.

Gatorbait2008 still thinks we should fire Mike White.

That dude should be banned from this board.

I think our defense will take a small step back but not that much. All 3 freshman returning are good defenders, and Lewis is arguably the best freshman defender in the country. KJ is also a beast on the boards.

Hayes is a pretty big loss defensively and Blackshear isn't close to as good defensively as Hayes but after having so many bigs who struggle to make impacts offensively I'll gladly welcome the guy who can score and rebound as well as any big in the country

He will sit a year, which is good. We don't really need him this year. Nembhard could leave after this season, so we have Appleby. Lewis likely will leave after this year, so we have Duruji. Good roster management.

He might, repeat might be granted immediate eligibility by the NCAA due to the coach being fired at Cleveland State and a lot of hanky panky as well.

and he will have two years to play...awesome to me !!

We really needed him for next year, especially given we might lose both Nembhard and Mann after this year.

I'd much rather have him in 2022 than 2020.

Unless Mann goes full Curry next year I doubt he's a one-and-done. Good chance of Nembhard leaving even if I don't really think he's a first-round pick, though, so, yeah, we could be pretty thin in the backcourt in 2021.
