So, it's official, we have 4 QBs on the roster...(again)

Franks to remain starter for week two.

that's pretty much it. that last FF thread is right before the McElwain firing. some of them i started. some of them were started by others. it's interesting how we've felt about this guy from the beginning.
eta: if y'all want to go looking for more, those were found between pages 28(?) and 50. at this point in time.

Well you can’t say Straws didn’t at least give him a chance. Kind of surreal to see Straws defending Franks to Real.

People have this weird concept that I just hated him to hate him, but really it was more of a fatigue thing.
"He just needs more time."
"He didn't have a QB coach in high school."
"He's matured this off-season, I swear!"
I gave him a chance, was happy to see him win but his attitude and gameplay really made it hard for me to support him down the road. In the end, he just hasn't grown as much as you'd expect him to regarding maturity.
Even his statistics, after I had found out that he was the worst P5 QB under pressure, I started to realize that much of his growth is simply Mullen masking the problems he has of reading the field and awareness.
Ah, to be young again, and think he'd actually be able to develop.

I just hated to see Franks start games as a r/s frosh..he was so skinny and his jersey flapped in the wind. At 6'6" he was still gangly and like a newborn giraffe. Wanted Del Rio to start to save the kid from being ridiculed, cause that's exactly what happened.
