Most Gator fans on this board are better than most other sites I visit. The other sites must accept lead paint eating fans for all teams. As an older Gainesvillian Gator 1961 (born not Graduated). I think I'm a little more even tempered because god knows we have had more down years than up in my lifetime. Wait till next year was definitely a motto I said often. Unfortunately it's been awhile and I hope it's not one we will use next year.

Younger fans have no idea of what it was like in the dark ages before Spurrier....but we didn't expect too much and were thrilled to make a bowl game...there was no four letter cable network, no barrage of weekly TV games. I was born in 1947 and growing up it was ONE college game on TV per weekend...usually Notre Dame, Penn St, Michigan and Ohio St. with a few southern games some weekends. Bama, Ole Miss, AU, UF & UGA were some of the SEC usually televised once a year during the regular season.

I think the only issue I have is the 100% nega-gator or 100% sunshine pumper.

Gator Country is basically split 50-50.

LuciusSulla Gators on Message Boards How is the alumni scene out in Austin? I moved to Gainesville from there and plan to move back when I am done.

The lonestar Gator club is very active. They watch all the games at third base on 6th.
I make the occasional game there but is tough for me on Saturdays after my tennis.
I ran into Gators all the time at Zilker and pretty much everywhere.
I love Austin. It has been ten years and I wouldn't live anywhere else.

Hey dmb, another Gator fan on this thread is asking for access: GatorsGonnaGata

Should I start a thread here for those asking for Gator board access? Don't mean to bug you so often
