If the OL is improved and stays healthy 50/50
If the QB play is improved, with Greir 80/20 Harris 50/50
If we can ID a playmaker and get him the ball, Brandon Powell,Demarcus Robinson. 70/30

The schedule is not bad, as far as SEC schedules go.
8 wins should be lock, 4 others are tough but winnable.

We must make progress early, avoid the trap game at UK and continue streak against UT, then roll from there. Upsetting some or all of these; Ole Miss, LSlosers UGay? and FSUcks.

The only realistic way I see 10+ wins:

The secondary has a 2011 LSU-esque season.
Johnny Townsend and Austin Hardin are All-SEC
Martez Ivey is Unanimous freshman All SEC and unanimous Freshman All American
UF has less than 15 turnovers lost on the season (UF historically averages about 10 fumbles lost, so that means lucky bounces, or not a lot of INTs).

If those things happen, I could see UF at 10 wins.

Agree about less turnovers. We beat LSU, South Carolina, and FSU if UF did not turnover the ball in key situations. 10-2 if UF could beat a better bowl opponent.

Improved QB play will be big. As well as another playmaker besides DRob

I just don't think it counts as realistic to expect a RS freshman to come in with a new coach and light the world on fire.

I expect about Treon Harris level of QB play. Which wouldn't be bad. With Treon Harris playing, UF SHOULD HAVE BEEN 5-0 last season. It took epic ridiculousness for UF to lose to USCe and FSU.

I am talking Driskel Sophomore year level. 17 TDs and 4 INTs. Not lighting the world on fire but not pissing in the wind either.

Two TEs that can get open and catch the goddamn ball will be a huge help with TO. Driskel had a good year when he had Reed. Nothing there, dump to the TE.

I feel like all of us keep going around in circles about this. I've been saying this same shite for 6 months.

Put it this way: We don't need a star at QB. We need a John Parker Wilson 2008 type season.

John Parker Wilson type season will NOT get it done.

John Parker Wilson had the best defense and the best special teams in the country that year scoring tons of non-offensive points and giving him ridiculous field position all year.

He also had Glen Coffee and Mark Ingram, running behind an experienced and talented OL.

Florida, in 2014, threw more passing TD than Alabama did in 2008.

Unless Florida's defense and special teams are national title caliber units like 2008 Alabama, and unless UF has two RB combine to rush for over 2000 yards, John Parker Wilson stats are NOT going to get the job done.

Point is Wilson didn't frick up much. We don't need special QB play.

We need someone who won't lose the game for us.

Maybe not National Title caliber, but certainly good enough to win the East.

I am hoping for Shane Matthews or Kerwin Bell type of 2nd year by Grier. We shall see if it comes to fruition.

If you stop and think about it...we were special teams errors in the last few minutes of the USC game and 1 dropped pass against LSU and a lightning storm away from being 10-3 last year....add in bounce pass off plywood board hands when we picked off the raptist QB FOUR times in first qt. and we were leading 9-0 and at the sissys 11 yd line ready to score. Imagine 11-2 folks.

This year we have McGee at TE, we have Kelvin Taylor at RB with more determination imo, Scarlett Jordan may surprise and maybe Cronkite?

David Sharpe will surprise on the OL...Thurman is very experienced, Andrew Mike has r/sed from last year..
Antonio Riles played snaps at end of last year during key games...Cameron Dillard has been on campus for 3 years, Kavaris Harkless r/s ed also last year. I wouldn't count on true frosh OL just yet. We also have a graduate transfer on the OL. It just takes OL a few years to adjust and we may have two or three decent ones now who were r/sed.
WR? Hopefully we have Fulwood get his head straight and Pittman gets better separation...maybe Thompson or Worton show us they are good players and we may have good one in Jackson or Calloway as true frosh at a position where frosh can excel.

The defense is stout and will win us games.

UF could go 14-0. It won't happen but it is just as likely. Seriously you people are delusional you should get yourselves checked out by a professional.

You mad? Great attitude going into the season. Are you even a Gator fan? All of us that have a hope for a great season are realistic about how fragile it could be but it will be better than having Muschamp, that's for sure!!!
