Interesting possible SEC schedule...

Some interesting possibilities out there for Florida's 3 permanent opponents with the link above having Oklahoma as one of the games.

I am still inclined to think after you account for the rivalry games and Auburn never accepting a Bama, GA and Florida permanent schedule that our 3 teams will be Georgia plus 2 from a pool of TN, SC and KY with a much lower chance of Oklahoma or Ole Miss being one of the 3. I guess the one with OK does have the best balancing effect though when looking at traditionally being good in the past couple of decades.

i'm gonna really be upset if we lose the LSU game.

georgia is an automatic game.

i don't really care about the rest of them.

Not really sure who I would rather keep out of Tennessee and LSU though I would have a little grin if we got away with GA, SC and KY somehow. I have a bad feeling we are going to catch TX on the road in 2024 to add to the pressure on Napier to keep his job. TX has been recruiting really good lately especially in the trenches and will probably be able to hang with all the SEC teams in 2024.

This could easily be Florida's schedule in 2024.

@ Georgia (in Athens) as we are considered the home team in the 2023 Jacksonville game.
@ Bama
@Texas
@ Tennessee
@ Auburn
@FSU

In Gainesville:

LSU
Kentucky
Mizzu
South Carolina
Miami
UCF

Oklahoma wouldn’t make sense.

I’d think we would have UGA and UT, not sure about the third.

It did help balance out the better SEC teams permanent opponents but I doubt they have OK as one of our 3 permanents when the final decisions are made.

We really screwed ourselves scheduling 3 quality OOC teams in the same year. So we either bite the bullet and play all 12 games against P5 teams or we drop the UCF game and get called cowards.

Ohio State paid Washington $100k to drop their games. Chump change for us to drop UCF.

...but if we can't beat UCF in 2024, we'll have bigger fish to fry.

UCF chickened out of playing us back in 2007 for only $100k so they better not expect much more than that.

As for the 3 perms, UGA is obvious and #1. #3 will either be UK or SCar. I'd like for Auburn to be #2 but that's not fair making them play Bama/UF/UGA annually. So if it stays LSU or Vols that's cool too.

I would like to see UG, Aub, Kentucky but like you said UG, UT and Kentucky makes more sense.

I think those are the 3 closest SEC schools too.

What about Mizzou? Natural rival. Battle for top woke SEC school. They might agree to a tie every year to not offend anyone.

The 2024 schedule is brutal probably the toughest schedule we will ever play!!!

Winning 8 games would be huge step forward especially if Lagway is the starter some that year setting up 25 and 26 to be great seasons

But I say don't drop any games play them all. I think by 2025 no one will want to play us.

Just got to get back in the top 5 or on the fringe of 5 every year to in recruiting.

Not sure about the 2025 OOC games but if this turned out to be accurate our odd years starting in 2025 are going to be crazy difficult.

I feel like I'm just being dared to stop giving a damn about college football at this point.
