Exactly what Napier and the team needed. A game you weren't supposed to win (on paper). Punched in the mouth, then showed resolved and dominated. Relatively ugly in the second half with the strategy but got the job done. Doing this with some hurt players and a young squad bodes well for the future.

Again we don't have to be world beaters, but more wins like this shows evolution and gives the fans hope and patience with Napier. Swamp was the loudest it's been in forever.

Not to overlook Charlotte, but next big test is Kentucky. We get a second chance of going on the road with a young team in a hostile environment. Have we evolved from the Utah game?

I was a little concerned by it because it reminded me of Muschamp trying to ride a lead, and we all remember how that ended.

But, at the moment, we have better QB play than we ever had under Muschamp, and that QB also had two busted hands. Given that, I can't really blame him for eating clock and just getting to the end.

Very happy about the win and about the first half of play.
The second half conservative play on offense was something I hope the coaching looks at and evaluates it's self on.
It's only game 3 there is still plenty of stuff to work on. This team may end up being pretty good by the end of the season.

Apparently Napier said in the presser that he was too conservative.

Also, several people have mentioned that Mertz was a bit banged up so that also played a factor in the conservative play calling. I was at the game so I didn't hear about it while it was happening.

Princely took a UT towel last night and wore around during the game.
