You Napier fanboys happy now? This guy can't call a game.

You can’t freaking run it on every play.

FSU did the same exact crap Vanderbilt did last week.

If we ran every play we’d lost by 30.

Ppl on here know nothing about box count and how it affects you as a playcaller. If you have numbers or superior talent you can run all day

We didn’t n dont. When a defense stacks the box or jumps into a bear front that’s when you gotta be able to audible to a pass, to the wr n press man only our QB can’t throw so….

That's it keep making excuses for the guy. We'll be 7-5 at best next season,

FSU stacked the box the entire 2nd quarter. And we ran over them. They made adjustments coming out of the half, and so did Napier. He decided to let AR throw the ball. Or try to throw the ball.

AR started out 5 of 7 passing. After the 11 min. mark in the 2nd quarter, He was 4 of 20 passing. As Steve Spurrier once said it's not the players fault, it was his for keeping him in the game.

Those first three drives of the 3rd quarter killed this team. FSU outscored UF 17-0 in the 3rd quarter. Again he was out coached. We were one of the worst teams in the country in the 3rd quarter, this season. Ranked 110th in 3rd quarter points allowed, this season.

On offensive play calls to start the second half…

“Yeah I think, first and second down in particular, bang bang on the plays, on some of those, but there’s no question I can do some things better there, across the board.”

The last two losses of this season are all on Napier, and you're lying to yourselves, if you can't see that

This 1000%. It’s not ARs physical talent, it’s his mental ability. He has low football IQ. AR should have been pulled in the second half. On some of the play action he’s faking the hand off to the wrong side. He even ran on a free play when the defense jumped. That’s just a complete lack of awareness.

Even Kitna recognized on his 2-3 plays when they were crashing down and kept the ball.

Says A LOT imo that he put Kitna in for one of the biggest must have plays of the game

I'm optimistic.

Fix the defense and keep this exact offense and personnel, and we win a lot more games this year.

If the defense doesn't get fixed, next year is going to be rough no matter who the QB is and who he's handing it off or passing to.

As Tennessee learned, scoring a zillion points may win a lot of games, but it won't win a championship. You're going to play some teams who can also score a zillion points, and if you can't stop them more often than you don't, you're done, particularly when they figure out how to keep you from scoring every drive.

We scored enough to beat FSU, Tennessee, and LSU this year if we have just a decent defense. I'm honestly far more worried about that side of the ball than the O today.

I agree Napier was moronic the first 3 series of the third quarter, and AR's run on a free play should be enough to drop him to the 3rd/4th round of the draft.

But we scored 35.

Our biggest complaint should be this defense. Not just talent, which is obviously lacking right now. But coaching. Missed tackles and misalignment out of a timeout are all on defensive coaching.

With even a middle of the road defense our run game this year could have had us in contention for the SEC east.

All the games we lost, our defense was awful.

Think we were hitting send at the same time. Completely agree. We have to get back to having an elite defense on a regular basis.

I fully believe if the QB throws the ball and it hits the hands of the receiver n he drops it that it’s the WRs fault.

It’s the same with the DC who calls a blitz ect and puts the defender in the QBs face that he has to make the tackle.
Blaming PT over 3 guys missing tackles is bs

Just a reminder that Billy is in a rebuild. That may fall on deaf ears for most since were 6-6, but one to thing to keep in mind when you’re in a total rebuild is that rebuilding the culture is part of that. This team would be a 4 win team under Mullen/McElwain. They just gave up all the time.

Also, when you look at all the playmakers on the team, who recruited them?

I know Finch, and I’ve said multiple times that we have the right coach. We will be successful with Napier because he’s rebuilding on a solid foundation.

But AR is not the QB to get us there.

Plus, it took Jim Harbaugh 6 years to beat OSU. Everybody rebuilds at different speeds.

I'm not calling for Napier to be fired I truly believe he is the right guy.

I do think some changes need to be made on the coaching staff.

I've said this and felt this all year. Patrick Toney is not the DC that will get this team over the top. I think he is a Below average DC. I know Billy will stick with him but I'm not sold on Toney.

Any time you score in the 30's that is a game you should never lose!!!

That is 3 games we lost scoring 30 or more.

I truly don't think next year will be much better. I do think Kitna will be a very good QB for us going forward. I'm hoping alot of the Juniors and Seniors decide to opt out of the bowl game.

That way these young guys see the field. I would really like to see what Kitna can do playing and starting a game.

You literally saw 3 guys miss the QB with him in their grasp.

How ppl blame the coordinator is crazy to me.
We complain about our safeties all season. Then blame the coaches who can’t make them something they’re not.

Now if it’s yr 3, I’m right there with ya. But with Mullens guys… I’ll reserve judgement

That play was on everyone. Scheme on a 3rd and 10 with a mobile quarterback. Bad fundamentals tackling. Lack of talent to make up for the poor fundamentals (which is also on the coaches).

Agree Toney would have been limited working with what he had, but he shares some of the blame too.

You have 3 guys boxing in the QB, you’ve done all you can do from a coaching standpoint.

They make those tackles and it’s a different ballgame

You act like fundamentals, technique, and development aren't part of coaching too.

Mullen didn't fail because of scheme and X's and O's. It was all the other stuff that goes into coaching too.

Mike Vick made a career making pro bowl defensive players look foolish

Guess they had shitty coaches and didn’t practice fundamentals

Lol

No. Do mobile QBs make it tough? Yes
Should 3 defenders in his lap bring him down? Yes

Billy literally said they do different types of tackling drills daily. Coaches can only do so much then it’s on the players to execute

Some ppl in here need to go coach a youth team or something. Then they’ll see this shite ain’t as easy as Madden
