That was one of the best wins I have ever watched at Florida field and I have seen a lot of good ones. Really fricking proud of that team for hanging in their and battling all fricking game.

Anthony Richardson is the fricking truth, and those running backs are going to shred some people this year.

Nice to have Miller laying the wood in the middle again, and THANK YOU AMARI BURNEY!!!!!!

I was hard on the Gator band on the game thread for not performing pregame or halftime, on second thought it could have been to reduce damage to a wet field. They are still the best band around!

Finally had the time to rewatch the game. A lot of good, but also some things that need to be cleaned up. Overall, the resilience, conditioning, and will to win was a complete 180° from what we saw last year.

The biggest takeaway I have from this game was on our final drive.

We had 3 run plays where we went out of bounds instead of just going down to either keep the clock rolling or make Utah use a timeout. I’ve watched the last run by Montrell Johnson about 20 times in slow motion, and it really looks like his knee went down before his foot hit out of bounds.

A couple of things here:
1. I hope we have a little bit better situational awareness in the future, especially when we have 2 timeouts on the board if we need to stop the clock.
2. The PAC-12 refs are just as bad as the SEC refs. They wouldn’t review anything and were blind to holding, false starts, and had some bad spots all night long.

It was a hell of a game and I’m glad we defended The Swamp. That place was rocking all night long. But we really should have never been in the situation to have to pick off Rising in the end zone to preserve a W.

What a great game.

I haven't seen the Swamp like that since Tebow and Meyer was here. There's been some moments (Ole Miss 15, LSU 18, AU 19), but nothing like that.

Hugged a whole bunch of strangers after the end zone pick to seal the game.

Utah deserves a ton of credit. They kept their head and I thought handled the Swamp crowd noise better than Auburn did in 19 and Bama did last year. There were no false starts or times where Rising had to take a time out because they couldn't get the signals from the side lines.

Their fans came out too. Heard that it was about 19k Ute fans there. I don't know if it's that many, but I sat all the way across the field, in the opposite corner, from the majority of the Ute crowd and they got pretty loud late in the 4th while UF was driving down to what would end up being the game winning drive.

Very solid win to kick of the Napier era.

Lots to improve on (much has been already mentioned) and I am looking forward to seeing AR get more experience against another good team next weekend. He played great but seemed a bit nervous at first while throwing. He was throwing fastballs a lot and not putting touch on those passes. I think it was nerves, and he seemed to settle down as the game went on, but overall a nice performance.

The play calling was mostly pretty good too. The 3rd or 4th series down near the goal line was bad. Too conservative. I did not like that, but the play calling was much better than I was anticipating, and Napier's offense was not boring. It was not great or overwhelming, but it's the first game.

Seeing LSU and Clemson gives a lot of perspective on how the Gators performed.

The defense, well... Remember that not too long ago this defensive core gave up 92 total points in back to back weeks against South Carolina and Samford. It was not great, though I think the Utah O line was stout and Tavion Thomas is a beast, so I'm not panicking yet about the front 7 though I am a bit concerned about it moving forward.

They say the biggest improvement factor should happen from week 1 to week 2. We started off with a tough test in week 1 and have another tough one in week 2.

Without Dopey dan, I like our chances against KY, though Stoops has done a hell of a job and are not longer an automatic win. I still think we kick their arses this weekend since they don't have CRod available and Levis is pretty good but won't have Wandale to throw to this time.

Go Gators!

I could never do that. Drunk or not drunk. No matter the situation.
