Don't be a little girl, finch.

(I've never had an entire drink in my entire life.)

I will warn younger posters here that the liver doesn't accept alcohol very well...party now and pay up later.

I'm 31 but my ma had a drinking problem that she developed while in the Army so I decided to just stay away from it my whole life.

I'm pretty sure it's a good idea at this point.

I actually teach English to bigwig in their factory here in Mexico City. Dude's super cool. I'm going on a tour in the next few months.

How are you guys feeling about this game? I don't much about what the U is going to bring to this season. Facing a whole new coaching staff would make me a little nervous if I had to open against them.

i like our chances if their is no drama, suspensions or injuries during fall camp. should be a fun weekend since it's the only big game being played that weekend.

All eyes on both of you. Any idea what the strengths of Miami will be? Do they play into yours?

We are taking them behind the woodshed. UF is a LOT better than some think. We have plenty of talent...loaded on defense...our QB will be much better in 2019 and we have helluva receiving corp...top six receivers coming back.
The Ol will be fine...most will have been in the system for 2 yrs and some longer...plus we had a nice haul of OL last year.

Although I am biased as hell..I expect the Gators to come out breathing fire against jawja and we will put an L on you guys. Book it.

The players go on social media and some even to the Rant...so y'all keep talking but LSU learned the hard way that it was a big mistake when we went to red stick and beat them...after some of the kittens said they were going to win 38-0 and had called us forfeit univ and pussies. I know you aren't one to throw crap at us and are basically civil...but those alters are going to get a lesson.

Pass defense and defensive line are Miami's strengths.

QB is their biggest weakness until proven otherwise.

Rush defense was easily the worst part of their team last year when they played decent teams and their worst game (Wisconsin) the other team ran for 333 yards on the ground.

Playing the same team (Florida State, LSU) the stat-line looks like this.

Florida first, Miami second.

Score: 45 - 15 <> 28 - 27
Passing Yards: 254 <> 204
Rushing Yards: 282 <> 102
Defense Yards: 293 <> 200

Florida first, LSU second.

Score: 27 - 19 <> 17 - 33
Passing Yards: 176 <> 259
Rushing Yards: 215 <> 83
Defense Yards: 372 <> 296

For my breakdown it goes like this:

HC: 10 years in the SEC vs. Zero. Ever.
OC: 6 years in the SEC vs. 4 years (going back 20 years)
DC: 12 years (NFL, SEC, ACC) vs. 0 years P5.

Our staff (coordinators) has been working together for two straight seasons (considering defense) and like 8 with Billy (even though they go back further than that). Their staff has never worked together and really has very little relevant experience.

To me, coaching will decide this game for the most part -- who can get their team ready. In my own humble opinion, I trust a coach with 10 years of SEC experience getting his team ready and having his system in place with a team that he's had for an entire year.

QB, WRs and RBs are pretty much the exact same unit. DBs we lost our STAR but retain a player that played CB the entire year last year anyway. A few players on defense left but the majority of the them came back (8 of 11).

You have a team that has the same coaches, the same team and the same system (including the S&C program) vs. a team with possibly a new QB (who knows lol), an entirely new and inexperienced coaching staff.

I'll predict a two touchdown win, but I think we might just slow play the game and not take too many chances. By the 4th quarter we'll be rolling them.

It's takes time for them to gel though and it will be their first game together.

Should be a great game as UF will see some gains from year 1 to year 2. However, I believe Mullen has pissed off Kirby who will put some extra effort into this one.

Solid break down. Thanks.

That could be an issue for UF if their strength is the DL and UF is breaking in four new OL.

I feel like Wisconsin did that to most teams

Perine should/could have a field day.

Wasn't their OC the OC at Arky for a couple of years?

That's a pretty fair assessment.

Everyone thought our OLine would be terrible last year and they did extremely well. Hevesy knows what he's doing, this has been his job for a very long time and the system is already in place.

Here are some teams that Wisconsin ran for 300 yards against:

Rutgers (Less than Miami)
New Mexico
Nebraska
Illinois
Purdue
Miami

There's a pretty common theme with those teams: They all fricking suck.

Yes, Dan Enos, their OC, but you highlighted DC.

I'm just a wait see guy when it comes to the OL. Especially the first few weeks. It's such a tough position to predict and recruit correctly.

Sorry, I thought you were comparing Grantham to Enos.

Hevesy has a track record that I waited to see last year and it came to fruition. The difference is that these guys were still, at least, in the system. They're not complete freshmen. I expect them to be ready unless Hevesy drops the ball this year.

Everyone talks about UFs OL as if they were all true frosh and walk ons...but that's foolish. We may start 1 or maybe two redshirt frosh at most. Stone Forsythe has been on campus 3 years and is huge at 6'7", center is returning starter, Bret Heggie has played well before an injury got him. Richard Gouriage (sp) is a redshirt guard that was highly sought after. Folks will be surprised at well the OL performs. And as Straws stated, Hevesy is a very good OL coach and will get the most out of them.
