The only problem I have with this LsU game hasn't nothing to do with their team....but with us.

Can the defense play lights out defense two weeks in a row and win the game??? Its not easy emotionally to get fired up 2 weeks in a row. Mullen is smart and will not work the team hard this week which accomplishes two things, one is injuries and the other is to let them recuperate and rest some after a tough battle. The hard part for the coaches is to instill that same intense heat that they had yesterday...especially on defense. There will be no home field to protect, no insane Gator fans cheering. The coaches will have to let the team know that they can use the LsUs crowd noise as their own and feed off it.

I can tell you this: beat LSU and no one will be dissing us like they have been. The media will be forced to recognize us. And Mullen will get even more cred as a damn good coach.

The media will hype up LSU all this week just like they did Auburn lsat week.

UF will have plenty of motivation.

Well we are 7th in both polls now and LSU is 5th and 6th ranked...win at red stick and we take their place in the polls. Those crazy Cajuns will REALLY hate us after that poll

The spread is big time for LSU. UF is heavy underdogs at this point. The disrespect is real.

We opened at 13.5 point dogs.

I highly doubt this team feels too good to care.

I hope Mullen pins that spread on the locker room wall and says see what they think of you?! These guys seem to do well when angry(especially the defense). They like disrespect.

I've always thought the Gators, as a whole and no matter who the squad, perform better when they are disrespected and overlooked.

SEE: 2006 National Championship Game, in which we had a month to hear how we were not even worthy to set foot on the same field of play as THE Ohio State University.

Not saying we're going to the 'ship. Not saying we'll pound LSU 41-14.

Just sayin'... I do like the general chip on the shoulder that this sort of "UF LOLOLOL" narrative in the media and in social comments gives to the team. More to prove. Always more to prove.

I have said from the beginning this team reminds me of the 2006 team.

The interesting thing with home field is that the offense can coordinate adjustments. But since our defense is probably in the Top 2-3 in the country so can they.

I think the question mark is definitely how our offense performs by taking care of the ball, communicating to each other and scoring points with long drives.

It's going to be a fun game for sure but seeing how Vandy and Texas hung 38 on them then I'm not overly worried we can score against their defense.

It'll be crucial the defense gets turnovers in their half or close to it and Special Teams to show up bigly.

We're -14 which I think is a weird opening line. We were -2.5 at home vs Auburn and we should have won by way more than 11.

This will not be a high scoring game unless we have 6 turnovers, unlikely. Offense doesn't need to throw every down and shouldn't and won't.

We are not going to score a lot of points...don't need to with our defense. Main thing is to protect the ball and let our defense get us short fields.
