The fact that you think a back up QB in high school should start at UF despite Mullen not thinking so means you are beyond retarded.

Imagine Oklahoma's shock when Baker Mayfield, a walk-on from Texas Tech took over and won the Heisman.

Not saying that this will happen with Trask, but how can you know he's good or bad if you've never actually seen him play? Outside of the Spring Game where he clearly outclassed Franks.

The fact that you believed in Mac yet not Mullen shows you are just trying to be wrong. It's like you want to look dumb. You were a Mac loyalist and deluded reality. Now you do the same with Trask. You seem to never be right here..so I'd stop. I may have missed on Kelly. But at least I have a decent track record on calling out coaching decisions which you clearly don't.

You're the Chip Kelly guy, dude, maybe leave the Coaching stuff by the wayside and talk x's and o's, rather than retardedly plodding down who supported who?

I don't trust coaches unilaterally, I trust coaches who actually get it done on the field, and when they don't I stop supporting them. McElwain was 20 - 8 (counting a cancelled FCS game) going into his third year -- ANYONE who didn't like McElwain until after the Michigan game (although missing 12 players before the season started is a good excuse) is just blowing smoke up arse or TJ who predicts every Florida coach is garbage.

My record on coaches is 1 - 1, my record on Quarterbacks is 6 - 0, even when it was an unpopular opinion. Do you think Franks will do well tomorrow?

Um no.

I hated our staff day one. Mac seemed like a reach, Nuss had poor work at Michigan and was basically fired at Bama.

This staff I've been up on from day one. So wtf are you talking about? Chip was 48-7 in CFB so yes. Wanting him to run his offense here is a very valid want. He proved himself. UCLA will be fine. Just like Nebraska that system has to have the right players to even remotely work. I'd bet UCLA wins the Pac 12 by year three.

So yes. Most of us questioned Mac. After Michigan the questions were done. We had the proof. The team had no discipline, got pushed around like school girls, and no one showed any progression yet again. Anyone still supporting Mac after that simply was deluded.

If by year two, we still don't look good by the end of the year. I'll start looking sideways at Mullen. If by year three we aren't contending. It's clear he isn't the man

We are three games in. He is one of the best QB coaches in the sport. How about having more faith in the man who's proven he knows his shite? Mac didn't prove that. Mullen absolutely has.

You hated a staff with no proof, I'm questioning a decision with ample proof.

I mean, how many...

drops...

From opposing...

DBs does...

one need?

Or fumbles without contact...

do we need exactly?

I understand, maybe no one else on the team is better, but at this point do we have something to lose?

National Championship? No?

SEC? No?

The East perhaps? No?

To me it just seems silly to keep ramming a round peg into a square hole, but if you guys are content with it and after seeing the terrible stats, video evidence and poor playcalling (although how do you playcall for a QB who is both a poor passer and an average at best runner?) that's your business.

Now he needs to be quicker with his decisions

The comes with time and gaining comfort in the offense. There’s no magic formula for it, but the more comfortable he gets in the playbook and the more comfortable he gets with what he sees defenses doing over the rest of the season and into next season, the faster and better his decision making will get.

Just give him time. Mullen does not and will not put bad quarterbacks on the field

I am going to share my thoughts on Franks and its something I felt even last year.

He is in third game now with a new QB coach and a HC who sees his potential...which is the ceiling top. I honestly think Franks will be a very high draft pick in the near future...he has two more years after this one. The reason I feel this way is that he has the tangibles that the pros want. He is 6'6" 240 now.

He has worked extremely hard to win the starting job and has a close connect with the team, His leadership will only grow from here out. He can throw the ball 70 yds. He is going to get better as a runner...I think much better. He has the potential to really make teams worry about his run game.

Last year he was awful and I blamed the coaching staff for putting him in a position to fail...and they nearly wrecked his confidence. My main gripe was he was too skinny at 215 lbs. But to Franks credit, he pulled himself up and was determined to get better. Mullen is like a new lease on life. He would have to totally implode to be benched...Mullen isn't pulling him for mistakes as long as they are effort mistakes. If Franks had a "I don't really care that much" attitude...then its a different storyline...but he doesn't have that. He wants to win as much as we do.

Too many folks discredit him for mistakes and every missed pass is an indictment...Mullen disagrees. Franks is still a work in progress and a 12 yr old can see the difference in Franks from 2017 to this year. Jones will be redshirted imo unless theres a dire need. He can be an asset even if Franks is the starter next year which I feel he will be. A change of pace QB who can provide a spark. None of us know yet. He may play in the last four games and still could be redshirted.
