Mullen said, “I’ll go on tonight and read a commentary about my performance from somebody that’s got six followers and follows 27 people, right, and is obviously an expert on college football."

It fundamentally bothers me that our coaches and players are obsessed with what the fans are saying.

That’s shite you can’t control.

Focus on the stuff you can control.

But hey wtf do I know I have 0 followers.

Eh, it’s the times we live in. And the media keeps asking. I don’t think it’s that serious.

I don’t think Mullen is making any decisions based on what us idiots are saying.

I disagree with you here:
1) I don't see anything that is close to "obsessed" just because he makes a comment about it.
2) I disagree that they can't control it. I think bringing up bad behavior can have an effect. Here we are talking about it.
3) I don't see that they are focused on this. Someone is focused on the team getting better because they have improved from last year.

I agree with Mullen that in order to have a top program you need the fans, coaches and players all in a pushing for the same thing. Otherwise you are just another Miami.

It's not that slayer is saying he's obsessed with Twitter as much as there's this thing where Florida coaches/players seem to give weight to trolls on social media.

Franks was literally fighting with Del Rio on Twitter.

Reese made a post complaining about the fans.

Perine is now fighting with fans on Twitter.

McElwain complained on death threats which he likely received but were obviously not real ones.

Now Dan Mullen is talking about Social Media and how he will read about his job performance. Even if it's tongue in cheek, these are professionals and semi-professionals.

Do you think professionals even bother reading Twitter? It was just found out the other week that most of them have bots that run their profiles. You know why?

Important people don't give a frick what people say on Twitter.

He's already told his players to get off of Twitter and Social Media, and he even alluded to it in the beginning of his tenure.

This thing where they get hurt by what fans are saying, to the point that Franks has to retort on the field and Mullen in a Press Conference is amateur hour.

Not to say I dislike Mullen or anything he's doing, it's just weaksauce.
