I hope Lagway just needs to fine tune his fundamentals. And learns to complete the 5 to 15 yard passes.

My best friend's brother in law's best friend works at Tulane (I know that's a lot of people to go through for info). He said Sumrall told them he's bringing any of them from Tulane that want to come. I don't know if its true or not but that's what I was told. I hope it's not true since he said he doesn't just hire friends

After I saw his press conference I like the guy. Was not my choice as head coach at all but I like him. Funny and likeable and not corny like Napier.

Lagway hasn't shown he can even be halfway decent reading a defense. We got fools gold probably thinking those big throws last season meant he was a good QB. Kinda funny looking at it now but a lot of opposing team fans were saying he had major issues due to his high interception rate etc and all he did was make a few nice deep throws in 2024 when the defense gave him man coverage and teams would adapt which they did in 2025. Even the A@M game after our 2 early scores they went to more drop coverage and Lagway fell apart then.

Stricklin was the associate AD at kentucky when sumrall was a grad assistant at kentucky. Thats how these two knew each other. Very few know that.
Funny. Scott didn't bring that up at the presser.
What's next? Hal Mumme as OC?

Top-25 ranked defense every other year???
If we were going to raid Kentucky for a DC, I would have wanted Stoops.
This is not an elite hire.
ETA: His top-25 ranked defense gave up 41 points to Louisville this past weekend!!!

I want to give a blank check to the Texas Tech defensive coordinator since they worked together at Troy I believe. He's had elite defenses there, granted they actually spend big in NIL now

Got the confirmation that he is going to Gainesville with Sumrall.

Florida's coaching staff is beginning to look like Kentucky's staff.

KY has been raped these past few years though as they are spending NIL mostly on basketball.

Yep TT is basically a hired gun defense this year.
