Some Ole Miss fans were saying that. Hopefully it not just them doing normal coaching search stuff which we know would be going on.

I’m not sure Lane is worth the numbers being thrown his direction fwiw.
I know we’ve been contentious towards each other in the past so I say this from a place of peace and not just to argue just to argue, but I think he’s worth whatever money because he at least had a high floor. We need someone who can get this program to respectability and I’m confident lane would do that. Additionally, we might be able to offer extra resources that ole miss might not that could raise his ceiling. But based on what’s out there, he’s a safe bet for being able to win games and add some swagger and juice back to this program which it so desperately needs

I am proud of you because this is the first non-trolling/non-crazy post I have ever seen you make. And I fully agree with all of it.

Why would our AD put this out there to the press? Possibly a bad sign with Kiffin?

The only thing I can think of is leverage against Ole Miss. Or we struck out. But hiring a defensive version of Napier wasn't on my bingo card.

Some people are saying if Kiffin or Riley wont come here that Sumrall and Caldwell are Stricklin options. Who is Caldwell?

Why use the word interviewing instead of meeting like the first tweet?

Yeah, that makes sense. “Hey you wanna come talk about working here, we’re already hiring this guy, but like yeah…. Come talk.”

Well it sounds like he must have changed plans while heading to Gainesville.
