College football is a cutthroat business. Nobody understands that better than a guy who got fired on a tarmac. I won't begrudge a guy who went from discarded to coveted from weighing his options, but buyer beware: this will not be the last time he flirts with another job.

Are you expecting us to know by Monday? I think we will know for sure by then where he will be coaching at in 26.

Just to be clear, none of my posts about this are from me as the connected person.
I’m always leery during silly season.
The person sharing info is confident Lane is coming to UF. A lot of what’s been happening has been exactly as he has said.
I don’t want to get much deeper because there’s a certain level of trust that comes with that board.
I’m not sure Lane is worth the numbers being thrown his direction fwiw.
But as of today, the “insider” is saying Lane will be UFs coach.
Of course, he could be full of shite but that board doesn’t tolerate fake insiders.
I will say, if it happens, it could all come out sooner than later but after the egg bowl is the safe bet.
All the above sucks to read I know.

I'm for some reason more convinced than ever Lane is staying at Ole Miss. If he were to leave by some slim chance, I believe it'd be to Florida, (I think there's an almost zero percent chance he goes to LSU) but I honestly think he's just doing all this to get more commitment from Ole Miss.

Ole Miss admin just started preparing for a coaching transition today so there is a good chance he is coming to UF.
