The Online needs to be near 15-17 because we do not land sure fire NFL five stars at Online so we can assume only 50 percent of the three stars are likely SEC lvl talent at best if we are being honest with ourselves. If we are recruiting hidden gem types, need to get a lot of them.

2008 I agree...OL is the hardest position to master and it takes many snaps on scout and second team scrimmages to hone the talent needed. Injuries take their toll...the big uglies cant go down a stairway without twisting an ankle
Figure we need 5 starters and at least 3 second teamers that have that fire in their belly.

I am not impressed with this QB commit from Texas. Looks like a lazy recruiting effort to add a QB to 2022 class.

Got a freak TE athlete which is good. No ranking but he will be ranked very well soon I'd imagine. Kid has the basics to be a freak of nature with the right coaching.

Geez Matt.....because Evers is a 3 star? He had a lot of
offers, unlike Kyle Trask lets not throw rocks at him just yet.

But our competition seems to be getting commitments from 4 and 5 stars* I watched his highlights and wasn't impressed. I don't care how many stars he has. He is an average high school QB at this time, maybe a 3*?

One of the reasons I think outside QB. Coaching up is most important prob on the OL. We havent had the best luck with top rated OL. Still rather get the best you can I agree. Hevesy is a pretty damn good coach all I'm saying

Evers won the MVP at the latest UA 7-on-7.

"Coming off his commitment to the Gators, Evers has remained as competitive as ever, after wining the MVP of the Under Armour camp in Dallas a few weekends back. On Saturday, Evers is back at it to compete with his 7on7 team, Texas Flex, for the Pylon 7on7 tournament in Dallas as well. Evers has made quick work on the day so far. You can see some of his clips where he shows an accurate arm that is able to fit a ball in tight windows."

Dude'll be a high 4-star when it's all said and done.

I hope you are right and he continues to improve. All I said was that right now he is an average or slightly above average high school QB. I didn't say that he had a ceiling of a 3 star. I trust Mullen when it comes to QBs but it doesn't change the fact that our competition is getting commits from 4 and 5 stars.

I would agree with you if he was committed to Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State or Georgia...but he’s committed to the University of Florida so they’ll rank him as a low 4 star.

I agree with Straws on Evers, he won that 7 on 7 competition against good players and I think that he has the ability to produce.

In general I am not impressed with stars and rankings..its all subjective and a lot of top 100 players fall on their faces in college.

I wanna see players who love football and who want to be coached. Gimme good students who dont whine and really have that burning desire to be the best they can be. With good coaching they can develop. Most of the players in the SEC need several years to become starters....our coaches see them on the practice field and in meeting rooms and they know when they are ready...barring depth issues, which I think affected us last year on defense when we had a few players who weren't ready that coaches were forced to play.

I really feel good about our defense this year and now its the offense I am not sure of yet. A strong ground game helps a defense....so we will see.

It's gonna be kind of dead until players can start taking visits in June.

I will correct my reply about player development and look no further than Kyle Trask...Straws was leading the Trask bandwagon and I of course felt coaches know best who start and if that were correct...Trask would have been the starter in 2018.

I kept looking at Franks physical stature and arm strength plus the ability to run...but he just couldn't put it all together. Does anyone know if he was drafted?

Just a quick edit, looked up Google and Franks was signed as free agent by the Falcons. I think its a great fit if he can make the team...Ryan is getting old and the birds need backups...wish him well.

Picked up a Top 150 CB from Texas today.

Got that 3 star ATH out of GA a couple weeks ago with some elite offers.

Recruiting isn't where we want it, but kind of like where we stand now. Just aiming for top 10 finishes at this point.

That's the problem at Florida you should be able to roll out of bed with a top 10 Class and aim for a top 3 class.

If your the coach at Florida and aim for a top 10 class you should be fired immediately.

Getting killed on the los will come back to haunt us eventually that’s the recruiting that worries me the most.
