I also think that Mizzou is our one loss but not because we are over confident....because Mizzou will be pretty tough on the road.

Memo to Slayer, dont judge this years defense by last year's version. We have a LOT more talented depth now. and we will see how it shakes out.

There is a better chance for the to be 4-8 then 11-1.

11-1 I'm as optimistic as any gator fan but this team going 11-1 no chance there is a better chance of Jesus knocking on my front door to give me the lottery numbers for tomorrow night

It’s going to be better. But even being better will make it only average by gator standards.

Hard disagree.

Unless this staff completely changes. I think people are greatly underestimating Mullen's offensive prowess.

The defense may be bad, but even last year we literally lost 3 games by one possession. Even if the defense improves to mediocre and the offense continues to move the ball (I believe having another offensive weapon in Emory will surprise people, and open up more passing attacks in the future) we could have quite a good season.

Don't turn the ball over and we're right as rain.

Here are my thoughts:
Emory is going to surprise folks...not just running, but throwing the ball. I looked at cut ups of his throwing plays against Oklahoma and he was above average...he also had a few throws hit receivers dead in their hands and dropped that should have been caught.

I've been beating the drums about the defense and the talent we will have as depth this year...boldly going to predict that the defense ends up no worse than fourth or fifth in the SEC.

We shall soon know.

You have 6 gimme wins and 3 others that you could win easily. No way you guys could even go 4-8

9-3 at worst.

I remember a drive against auburn in 2019 when Emory came in that gives me hope. But I’m worried his supporting cast of receivers isn’t as good. This offense will rise as far as the oline and run game will take it.

Those that think AR is the answer may be mistaken...I watch the same cut ups of the of the Oklahoma game game with AR under center and find that you have to temper the plays with the understanding that the game was over for all intents and purposes...OU had not only let off the pedal..hell, they were in neutral and made AR look better than he might be. No doubt he is a gifted athlete...but was still a true frosh.

AR will be a dynamite Quarterback, mark my words.

Just like I said Trask was a gem when we first recruited him on this board even though he was a 2-star.

AR is the truth, and when he has an entire year of getting 90% of Mullen's attention you will see a monster who has the arm power to throw like Feleipe and the athleticism to run like a Running Back.

Straws, I agree that AR is going to be to be a great QB, I just dont know if it will be this year. As you implied, one year under center...is going to be a world of difference for him....we shall see.

People said the same thing about Trask never starting a game and he did fine.

Some guys got it, AR has it. He'd be fine even if he had to start this year.

I've always felt Florida's first true undefeated season would be an unexpected one, so why not this year?!?

There is already a buzz amongst media types that predict UF could pull off the upset....I dont think the offense wins the game...the defense will send the kitchen sink against Young and make him color blind. We now have the beef and two DTs are gone that had NFL in their heads...the three pickups by Mullen and the emergence of Dexter plus having Zach Carter back will be result in better line control...Bama is going to try to run the ball and once we hold them to second and third down in long yardage situations...it will be time to throw Cox, Moon and LBs after the QB.

15-0 with no team within 8 points and never trailing in the second half.

Then I wake up from my dream and realize we are 9-3.

That game was actually going ok considering the opponent and our coach until Brantley got injured.

Finch....you are reaching back to 2011 to proclaim that the Gators wont beat Bama ? Do you know the roster that year? nd had two RBs that weighed 175 a peice ? Demps and Rainey, although talented....we had Capt Cooler seat as our OC and eventually we got beat by a bigger Bama squad. Hell, their LBs were all AAs.

This isnt close to 2011.

Yeah, we have significantly more questions going into the year.

I would never pencil in a win against Alabama until we actually show we can beat them.
