-We get LSU in the swamp
-Georgia is depleted
-Tennessee is still too weak
-FSU is down
-Trask and a few receivers return
-A lot of key pieces are still there on defense
-And most importantly, the national championship is in our state next year

It's 2020 or bust.

Totally agree, but they have to take advantage.

Don't sleep on UK either that early game will be TOUGH.

Gambling in Tunica and heading to the Grove will be fun. Brings me back to 2008? I believe when I went last time. Has it been that long since we've played there?

What I'm happy about is starting off with a tuneup game and really, the schedule plays out to the point where we shouldn't be too worried.

Kentucky, LSU, Missouri and South Carolina are home games. So basically our toughest opponents are at home.

FSU, Ole Miss, Tennessee and Vanderbilt are our road games. So basically our easiest games are away games with the exception of maybe Tennessee.

We also have tune up games before each of our early tests, which beats having to play Miami on opening week. However, this time around Trask will have the offense built around him instead of Franks.

2008 was in the Swamp. I was there...it was heartbreaking. We went there the following year though. Still can't believe all that went wrong that darn game.

It was 2007 when Tebow won the heisman. We played like poop, and Tebow pretty much won the game by himself.

There are no excuses for not winning the East next year.

Completely agree.

East is extremely weak, Georgia is replacing practically its entire offense and putting a QB (any QB) with zero experience. They also get Alabama next year.

The rest of the East is still far behind us and we're still returning a ton of productivity on both sides of the ball. Pierce had significant playing time, QB will be veteran and OL will surely be veteran since no one can leave unless they're graduating.

Hoping for a major facelift in the trenches.

Give me Braun and Ethan at the Guard spots for starters and lets move some ppl

The OL is the thing holding UF back.

Hopefully they found a good one in White, and they can plug someone in at guard so Heggie can play center. Then Forsythe and Gouriage and play tackle, which looked OK.

There's no way our offensive line can be as bad this year as last year.

Imo they should switch sides. Gouriage on the left and Stone on the right. Actually Id like to see Stone replaced by a new guy.

Im not sold on Heggie either. Seems whenever I see him he's getting knocked on his arse.

IDK, I think Heggie was probably the most consistent OL on the team this year. He wasn't perfect or anything, but he was consistently going up against some really great interior DL in conference this year with very little help around him.

Forsythe was up and down, but I think he could be a good right tackle. Just don't think he was quick enough for left tackle.

Gouriage I think has the speed for that.

So really all UF needs are two guards so Heggie can slide over and play center.

Difference now is we have more blue chips on the line. Which means more talent to build from. Insanely hard to have a 3 star filled line match up with five stars.

I'm glad where I went to school doesn't play where I work all that often. Of course I'm pulling for Florida, but after a pretty grim past few years here in Oxford in regard to a lot of things, it's nice that there is something people are actually excited about again.

Georgia hiring Monkin may be worrisome. Coley was so bad but Monkin has a pretty good history. Def makes them more challenging next year. Still not buying Newman hype though. I watched a few Wake games this year and never was wowed by him.

People are overvaluing the Monkin hire.

-I haven't seen anything from Newman to make me think he'll be elite.
-Four out of five OL starters have moved on.
-Swift gone.
-Herrien gone.
-Both starting Tight Ends gone.
-Cager gone.
-Fromm gone.
-No valid backup if Newman doesn't work.
-OL coach gone.
-New OL coach is changing scheme.
-New OC is changing scheme.
-New QB doesn't fit previous scheme.

Mullen, Hevesy and Gonsalez have been working together for well over a decade and had trouble with replacing our OL. Our QB coach was a Mullen player -- and we made major changes unsuccessfully.

Expecting the new guy to come in and basically retool Georgia's offense for the second time in two years is a very, very tall task.

They changed from Chaney to Coley and now they'll change again from Coley to Monkin. That's not good. Not to mention their entire team is built to run while Monkin is a pass-heavy OC.

They're going to need some sort of hybrid, Frankenstein offense to make it work, and I don't think there will be nearly enough time to have the offense working in the beginning of the year when they play Georgia.

Heaven forbid if Newman doesn't pan out or is sidelined because there is literally no one behind him -- which renders his legs almost completely useless unless Kirby wants to risk it.

Stetson has never played a real down and is a prior walk-on.
Dwan Mathis was sidelined the entire 2019 season.
Carson Beck will be a True Freshman.
