I'm only reporting this because I'm stupidly fed up with these shenanigans:
A USC insider posted a few days ago that Steele's LOI was received by Florida and that he will be committing on the 5th of January publicly. They said the reason he will be committing to Florida instead of USC is because they were unable to get a DB coach quick enough for him, and that it was a tough decision.
That's at least what I heard, but t'is the season for people to bullshite. I believe it, though, we got two crystal balls the day that Steele supposedly signed his LOI.
We will using this as negative recruiting against USC forever.

They broke his commitment to USC early, too. But like I said: That's actually the job of a website purporting to have special access to the news, so they're literally just doing what's in their job description.
But, building a pipeline to California? I really like it.

He has gone after transfers. Both Jefferson and Grimes are transfers

4* 2021 DE Tyreak Sapp has committed to the Florida Gators.

2021 seems so far away.

We have the 5*s lined up, a lot of these guys will end up there.
We just have to be consistent the next two years. Good God when Mullen gets his own QB and has top 10 classes. The rest of the country is going to be absolutely fricked.

I used to say that about 2019. This was supposed be the year for Mac recruiting well.

Gardner-Johnson tore him a new one (for those of you who didn't see) and Quashon said he wants to cancel his OV to Florida.

If he's that soft, he can go to FSU.. I wont shed a single tear

So the young man is canceling his visit because he was told he couldn’t have Gator Jordans’s? Then told by a Good Gator to take his bad circus school vibes and kick rocks?
This is quite possibly the epitome of the internet based world we live in.
That said, Chauncey is awesome.

The reason we haven't gone after transfer QBs is simple. it requires time learning the system and you just don't parachute in and take over.
DBs and WRs are another thing...it can be picked up easily and that's why Trey Dean has been starting and WRs like Jefferson & Grimes put in long hours during offseason to grasp everything.

If Justin Fields shows interest in transferring we will take him. He's not a normal transfer because he will still have three years of eligibility.
TR FR
TR SO (Redshirts)
RS SO (When he can play)
RS JR
RS SR
He's got more raw talent than Emory and honestly, is much larger and stronger -- more of a fit for the offense. Franks is transferring regardless of who is here after next year because he won't beat Emory or Jalon in 2020.
2020:
Franks (RS SR)
Emory (RS SO)
Jalon (RS FR)
Unless Hotdogs learns to run the ball a whole hell of a lot better (which is a possibility) then he'll be gone regardless. So here I see Fields being a better addition than what we have -- we for sure lose Hotdogs, possibly lose Emory but if Jalon and Fields are playing together I think we keep Jalon.
If Trask doesn't transfer this year, he'll never transfer and that leaves us with QB 1 (Fields), QB 2 (Jalon Jones) and QB 3 (Trask).
But that's only if Fields shows interest. I'm not sure he has yet or if he will.

After Miami just laid an egg vs Wisconsin, we need to have a good showing against Michigan and steal some more recruits from the canes.

Straws, Fields would be a r/s soph and you just so easily dismiss other QBs and you are going to to see surprises perhaps.
School bud doesn't deliver QBs ready to play SEC football.
And Finchy laid out the edict about dissing or praising Franks, he isn't a hot dog except you must think in terms of child like food when you are hungry...lets not go there.

I didn't shite talk Franks, I'm saying we take Fields 100% times over Franks, Emory, Trask and Freshman Jalon. Fields is not a graduate transfer, he's a Freshman with a year to redshirt next year and we'd be retarded not to take him if he's interested.
So don't get all uppity because Philip Hotdogs isn't a take over Justin Fields.
