Lol at the Espn guy asking Copeland why his mom got up and left.
“Maybe it had something to do with that Alabama sweatshirt she was wearing.”
There has to be more to the story. That looked like a big, “F*** you, mom.” move.

It is my understanding Copeland has a guardian and that is who he is closest with. Didn't have the easiest home life.

The Copeland LOI is in. Mullen tweeted out his welcome tweet.

What completely baffled me is that she is wearing an Alabama sweatshirt but also a Tennessee beanie. She may be a little confused.

Gouraige

Tanner
Nesta
Copeland
Chatfield
Boykin
Lamar
Need to get at least 6 to go with Watkins. The rest of the class are plan B guys if not listed above.
Gouraige
Copeland
Chatfield
Watkins
Langham (did not list him because he was all Bama)
About 50 % on UF's top targets.
Lost one to Ohio State, Nebraska, Ponzi Scheming MFers, ND, and FSU.
Beat out Bama and UT for Copeland, Bama and Auburn for Langham, Clemson and Auburn for Gouraige, Miami and others for Chatfield. Watkins had multiple big time offers.

We had a good day. Anyone complaining is ridiculous. We dealt with early signing and a new staff that needed completely different players. Landing Chat and Langham were big. Copeland, Gour, and Watkins are players that UF used to get and hadn't recently...I'm very happy

It was a solid transition class. Lost one in Boykin that a couple days ago everyone had in the class, but then picked up one in Langham who no one thought we had a chance with. Wish we would have hit on a few other guys, but there is quality here that will contribute.

So... one more on Friday and we wrap it up??

I don't think we're taking Gerald now that we got Langham. Leaves an opening for another scholarship next year.

Gerald is a take imo
You never want to only sign 19 guys when you can add a quality piece for the DL

Congrats on a strong transition class gentlemen!
Very interested to see what Mullen puts on the field with some of your offensive weapons.

Agreed. We surprisingly are loaded at WR and RB for the first time in forever. So I'm very excited. The key of course...is who plays QB and gets these guys the ball.

I am ready for these next few Cocktail Parties. They should be good games.

Next year you'll beat us pretty good. I think year two we start seeing some really good games.
The East will def go through Jacksonville for a long time.

This was Mullen's highest class in regards to average player and rank.
On a transition year.
Lazy Dan, at it again.
Couldn't be that MSU is a fricking terrible school to try and convince football recruits to go to.

Remember that the class coming in will really show results in 2019-21. The transfers are huge gets and will provide immediate help.
I don't know if anyone caught the ESPN show about recruiting that had Gene Chizik adding comments...but he stated that he watched a lot of UF last year and he was very impressed with our defense. I concur.
Some of you just don't realize the talent on the defensive side that will suit up this year. DL: CeCe Jefferson, Khairi Clark (he is a stud in the middle after really playing a lot in 2017), Jachai Polite, Jabari Zuniga, Jordan Smith, Justus Reed, Luke Ancrum, Kelvonnis Davis to go along with two true sophs who got their feet wet> Kryee Campbell & Elijah Conliffe two big wide bodies. We had a lot of injuries up front.
LBs: Reese is a stud in the middle now that he has two yrs under his belt, Jerermiah Moon now has snap experience plus a r/s season, Vossean Joseph has two yrs under his belt like Reese, they were forced into service middle of the year in 2016 when we suffered a lot of injuries, Kylan Johnson who was injured a lot of 2017, we also get Ventrell back along with Houston.
The secondary is loaded folks...we have players who can be safeties for us...fear not. They were almost all young last year and the snap experience will pay off.
Get the special teams back on track and get the offense to produce. Offense has been a problem since 2009 and with just 5% more production the past eight years we could have had much better years.
It will be revealing how the offense plays in the spring and I wouldn't count Franks out just yet. He had a horrible year in 2017 and wasn't ready. Rumor has it that he has been working out in the weight room a lot and that's a positive sign. Add bulk, spend time with coaching staff and keep everything simple and most importantly...break bad habits.
