Exactly. Safety just got thinner.

Hurts but nothing you can do about it. Just have to find another. Dean is going to be a CB I'd suspect as well. We shall see what Mullen does.

Honestly, he may even keep Garnder at safety, he was frickin' killin' people by the end of the year and with a bit more weight and some time to heal he should be okay at that position.

Dean was an incredibly physical DB during the game, and has a fightin' attitude.

No to Gardner staying at safety. I still have nightmares about his play. He makes Kyle Jackson look like Ed reed in comparison.

He looked like a real Safety at the end of the year -- he's played Safety for an entire year and at the very least has more than the fundamentals. He has a whole Spring and Summer to shore everything up.

Better than moving Dean there and eating up his playing time behind the other guys. He's physical enough to be a nickel back and it gives our two star cornerbacks their rightful spots.

I actually wouldn't mind Gardner staying after the last three games. Add in a really good secondary coach who's know for being tough.

He started tackling a lot better and covers well in one on one. Our secondary had bad coaching and it was always out of place. Hard to blame the kids. He was moved from corner, given a terrible workout plan, and was told to try to tackle SEC backs. Yes...great plan. If they keep him there it would be fine by me. Dean can play nickel if needed.

Exactly.

The last three games he seemed to come into his own and get a better grip on the position. Dean gets his playing time, Henderson and Wilson at the edges -- everyone is happy.

He has an entire off-season to improve on the position and a real coaching staff ready to coach him up, he'll be fine.

Who is the committed DB that is supposedly visiting? Not committed to us I should say.

Quay Walker no longer coming on OV.

Tennessee hosted a pair of Florida targets this weekend in Alabama LB commit Quay Walker and 3-star wide receiver Geordon Porter. Walker was scheduled to visit Florida on Feb. 2, but that’s no longer the case. After his trip to Tennessee concluded Sunday, the top-100 overall recruit from Crisp County High School (Cordele, Ga.) told SEC Country’s Chris Kirschner that Alabama (Jan. 19), Auburn (Jan. 26) and Georgia (Feb. 2) are the only schools he’ll visit before making his final decision.

TIFWIW but 247 is reporting something completely different. They are stating the Georgia visit was bumped for Bama next weekend.

Any of you know if Mario Goodrich is making his way down to the Swamp from missouri on Feb 2nd? On rivals it says he’s visiting then.
Being from missouri I’ve seen this kid. As a 6’2ish corner he’s got length and can move pretty well.
Would be an interesting get

Does it say if he will still visit UF after Bama? That's the important part.
