Yes! That’s big! Team news seems to have all been great and recruiting news as all been meh. Can’t wait for the team to get back out on the field.

Looks like Taggart is having problems with signees qualifying

Three 4* players, although I think two are expected to qualify (Bolden and the other guy, but I haven't heard of the other guy) and the last is Xavier Peters who is expected to be an academic casualty.

But I mean, as long as their class looks better than ours on paper they'll be happy.

FNL is coming up and we just got word that two big names are coming on campus, this is good news:

Lloyd Summerall, 4* OLB

Kaiir Elam, 4* CB/DB

I think we're recruiting Summerall at our rush position.

I would put Jaydon Hill 4* CB in that group as well.

If all of the 2020 kids on visit lists that I have seen show up, it will be an impressive group.

I saw something that CB Chester Kimbrough is going to camp at FNL. If I was a recruiting guru, I would say he would be on commitment watch. He got an offer from LSU at their camp recently.

I think 2020/2021 are going to be more represented, which I like. I think this recruiting cycle was going to be awash simply because we've been so bad these last few years.

Is there any roster news that is surprising or new? This is usually when we see someone is gone or injured.

Davis is gone. Suspensions will not be announced until gameday per Mullen.

Speaking of Davis: He IS working out but taking it slowly in a big knee brace.

Our offense is officially up-tempo spread, as per Dan Mullen.

Trask received the majority of the praise along with Jones yesterday, and Franks seemed to struggle yet again. Has a lot of ground to make up.

Goldkamp said Emery’s accuracy is really bad.

If Jones has to play this season, we are in big trouble. Like Franks last year, he is not ready to play in the SEC.

Quincy Lenton tears Achilles, and Clement moves to DB. He played Safety and Running Back in high school.

Ohio State wanted Clement as a safety, I bet he’s pretty good there.

The latest news from the Gainesville Sun is that everything is back on lock down after Saturdays media presense and they could only report snippets.

Monday night was the real deal scrimmage with refs and clock running...only small parcels leaked out. Mullen now says he should know who QB starter is after Sundays real scrimmage....BUT he may not reveal it. He isn't trying to hide it from rivals, just wants the other two QBs to go hard and think like starters.

To be honest...Im weary of the lockdown crap. If we were playing Clemson in a few weeks...then I could understand...but Charleston Southern? Please. Back up players shouldn't need cloak and dagger to be motivated imo. Of course in this day & age of instant gratification, transfers are common. Few really care about their school.

Willie Taggart's practices look soft, Mullen knows what he's doing.
