WRs: Hammond, Van Jefferson and Daquon Green vs. Grimes, Cleveland, Massey and Toney.

It's hard to read and Twitter is being a bitch, if I can get a clear picture I'll post it here.

DL and LB on Orange is head and shoulders better than Blue. Blue got Cece and Conliffe, Orange got Zuniga, Polite, Clayton, and Slaton. Orange got the better OL, Blue has the better skill players. Unless Franks throws a pick every series, they should "win" comfortably.

According to most sources, Trask is running closer to the #1 Offense (including the line) and the Orange Defense is closer to the #1 defense. According to the Orlando Sentinel "Trask has moved ahead of Franks on the depth chart" or that it's more likely.

Sorry for not responding right away.

This game...has a little too much propaganda for my taste.

Emory Jones' pass to Raymond for the TD is the best Gator QB pass thrown since Will Grier to Antonio Callaway.

I'm sold.

He would be okay in one of those offenses like at Texas Tech where he doesn't have to think at all before the snap, just look at the coverage and let the HC do all the thinking for you. But in a league where defenses want to kill you and where they mask their coverages, there's just no way.

And even in a pass happy offense where he doesn't have to think, I don't think he has the accuracy. He needs to just switch to TE and get it over with.

Trask will start.

I don't even know how this was even a debate after watching Franks throw today.

Emory will probably have a package this year, but I fully expect Franks to transfer.

I feel like I'm going crazy, man. There is such a strong lobby among Gators fans but I mean -- we gave up on Driskel but at least he had potential to be a good QB. You could see that his problems were scheme rather than he just was a bad quarterback.

With Franks, it's just so obvious he can't make NFL type throws, he can't even make College throws. ALL of his throws are to the outside because he can't see the fricking field.

So many people hyping him but all I saw was a guy who hasn't changed. At all.

Franks just isn’t a QB. Sure he has a strong arm but his accuracy and timing are absolutely terrible. As a LSU fan, I know what a terrible QB looks like.

That said, he’s athletic but I don’t know if he athletic enough to make the switch to TE.

There's a weird cult of Franks supporters in the Gator fanbase that really, really wants him to succeed and start. However, any person who really follows quarterbacks understands that he has some major, crippling limitations. I've said in the past it's like teaching someone who isn't a Quarterback to be a Quarterback.

His flaws severely limit the playbook because he can't keep himself from looking away from the pass rush -- his eyes come back to his line when he's trying to throw over the middle which means he can't see or make longer developing passes down the middle of the field.

He doesn't have pre-snap awareness, our Center has to call out protections for him which causes us to lose a ton of time getting up to the line, and of course leads us to his next major flaw:

He doesn't understand the protection of the pocket, and when rattled (it doesn't take much) and he moves himself right out of protection and gets sacked.

Those are his major problems, but he has minor problems in footwork -- his motor is slow moving and his strides are like a mentally challenged giraffe. He stares down his receivers so bad, and after two and a half years in the system, if he can't help himself from staring, he will never help himself from doing so.

I just don't understand why we can't be honest with ourselves over Franks. Sorry to rant at you, but it's been a very frustrating time watching him go out there and do everything opposite of what you ask of a Quarterback and then have fans protect him.

I was at the game and noticed that Trask has a lot more pocket awareness. he seems to move forward into the pocket with ease and buy an extra second of time to view the field. He doesn't have the happy feet of Franks. My only burning criticism is his accuracy has got to improve.

Unfortunately all of our current QBs have flaws.

Danny or Timmy aren't on the team this year.

I am confident that the coaching staff will develop the the current QBs to the best of their ability and the best one will play. My money, if I was to bet is on Trask but the Summer workouts and pre-season practice will determine who the 2018 QB will be. If Franks is under center at the season opener it will because he is the best we have and I will support him like I would any other player. Go Gators!

He has some work to do, but keep in mind the line being used wasn't the first string line, and the defensive line is much better. He still throws off of his back foot, but this could have been caused by the pressure he was receiving. That's correctable over the Summer and Fall camps.

UFMatt: Dude, it's time to give up on Franks. After two and a half seasons and he started an entire year, he looks virtually the same just without the turnovers because he was playing the second team defense.

It's not just his happy feet, it's how imperceptive he is regarding just about everything. Even in his "60" yard run, he didn't even see that safety coming down for contact. It's like watching a kid trying to play with teenagers, and if it were a real game he would have iterally been injured on that play.

He's just not a good quarterback.
