I am hearing similiar thoughts on Cowart from people close to his coaches however Jefferson is a different story. From what I heard last night Ole Miss is still in the front by a small margin for Jefferson. We will see tommorrow. I dont think Dillon keeps his committment to UF I think he is LSU bound that is the team he wanted to play for early on and they didnt offer him a scholarship until recently and he said it was a dream come true. But the way things have gone the last several days anything is possible. We could miss on all or land all of them or just 1 or 2. Either way I like the rebound we are having and as long as we get our needs I will be happy especially after a coaching change.

I worry about his work ethic. However, his HS coach says he was raise right by his mom and stays out of trouble.
If he works like he did the UA week, he will be a 1st rounder. If he works like he did during HS season, he will be a bust.

Cowart's HS coach's son is the DB coach at UF now right?

Normally that would be an advantage but Cowart's HS coach has distanced himself from Cowart. A little salty about Cowart's senior year performance and how he handle his recruitment.

Correct. Although they have a good relationship. Cowart leans on the main guy in Tampa for advice though in recruiting.

I've seen that from interviews. I'd be bitter too if I lost back to back championships with that talent then the talent dominates "superior" talent a week later

Is that his 7on7 coach?

Yes. Sorry for delayed response.
Also, got some discouraging info on Ryan D a few minutes ago. A lot of people think he is following Cowart. That is NOT true. A lot of people think Cowart is a strong personality, once again, not true. I 110% believe Cowart would follow Davis instead of it being the other way around. Cowart has leaned on the Davis' to an extent during this process for guidance too. I'm not ready to call Cowart to AU, but I have lost some confidence in him picking UF.
I will also say this, most of the info the day before is misdirection. I'm just a little worried about the Davis stuff.

sounds to me like auburn didnt really care about davis till it looked like they were gonna lose cowart i hope he can see that we want and need him alot more then they do

Ehh.. They offered when they hired WM. WM knows the dynamic.

What are your feels on Ivey? Seems like he's Gainesville-bound at this point

What would make Ryan Davis's opinion important to Byron? Especially since his ties to Auburn were because of WM and co. trying to get him to get to Florida. I just think with the idea of Boom looking like a candidate to jump pro to the Falcons as soon as next season, it would make Cowart lean more for Florida. Auburn seems like an awesome in between job for Muschamp right now. Maybe I am bias but I just think he would have a hard time going to AU when WM's camp has openly said he wants to be a head coach in the SEC. (Wouldn't shock me if he ends up at South Carolina)

Yeah I have pretty solid confirmation on Ivey to UF. He is the make or break piece to the UF class.

WM isn't going to the NFL. His personality is a bad fit. He could definitely bolt for another college job in a year or so though.

I'd be surprised (but not shocked) if Muschamp leaves after this coming season. With as much money as we're throwing at him, we won't lose him to the NFL and I can't imagine a relevant HC job taking a chance on him this early. He's basically back at Auburn for image rehab.

As long as UF gets Ivey I am alright with it. UF has 8OL on scholly so he is the backbone to the class.

Makes sense. I just don't see Boom being a coordinator for long...or maybe he's fooling us all and is Lane Kiffin 2.0 but for defense.
