Top 4 actually hurts our chances because of the double bye. We need to win a few and top 4 denies us that chance.

Top 4 is great except when there are only 3 good teams.

If we play our cards right we might just make the NIT.

The SEC has the #4 conference RPI in the nation, and the #2 SOS for all conferences.

USC has the 82nd RPI, with the 25th ranked SOS in the nation. We've only lost to three teams with RPIs outside of the top 100: #103 Providence, #118 Oklahoma State, and.......#319 Wyoming, who are 5-19 on the season thus far....

I thought the NET was used now instead of the rpi. Do they use both for seeding and invites?

I wouldn’t actually call providence and Okie Lite bad losses either
Both are better teams/programs with much better hoops history than us and play in more well rounded conferences

History of being good doesn't make one automatically good every year.

But they’re both better than us this year.

Sorry Im taking so long to respond. I've been busy pissing everyone off in the Methodist church thread about homosexuality and their fairytale book.

Out of curiosity, what's your stance?

They are using NET. My post was in response to someone asking what the RPI was.....

I was just pointing out that they are the three worst losses in terms of RPI for our season. Although some say that the Oklahoma State was a bad loss for us this season, and I tend to agree...

Not according to RPI. Wyoming beat us too, and they are 5-19. I would like to play them again today....
