Plus our facilities are better and we have a better AD.
Their AD is the same guy who hired Herman at Houston.
Yeah, there's a lot of trouble in CoMo, but there's still some reason to be concerned if both programs are going after the same guy.
I still fully expect the next coach at Mizzou to be black, however.

I mean the black players will boycott otherwise.

Clemson's coaching staff was on a call in show today and basically were saying they would not recommend the SCAR HC job to Herman.
Biggest mouths of the bunch? None other than Brad and Jeff Scott.
My take-away from their fricktarded version of a call in show?
1. They skeert. They know our foot will be permanently lodged up their asses when Herman gets here. (I'm owning him being HC here in hopes that the "positive vibes" will assist in making it happen
)
2.As much as they hated Spurrier for spankin' that arse on the reg, they know having a high five given to them would be welcome compared to the antics we'll torture them with under Herman's dominance over them.
3.They know we're about to begin pilfering the recruiting grounds they've enjoyed dominance over both historically and during Spurrier's lazy recruiting tenure. Leads back to reason #1...they skeert.
4.Herman's MENSA membership will remind them constantly of their issues related to being inbred sheep humpers with with an IQ equivalent to the number of teeth in their heads.
5.Shits about to get real and they know it.
6.South Carolina 'bout to be staaaaaaaaaaaaacked.
Clemson 'bout to be fuuuuuuuuuuuucked.

They are. I can't figure exactly why Brad was even there. He doesn't coach there any longer. I guess to show solidarity with his brother who does.
Lannister is asking for "quotes" from Brad on tRant board. I told him it was a RADIO call in show and I was driving so I didn't exactly have a pen and paper writing cliff notes. fricktards.

What station do you listen to?

What Herman did was incredible. He lost his starting QB during the game, he was down by 2 TD's in the 4th Q, and he still came back for the Win. Herman is our guy, he is a stud HC candidate. Although, Smart and Fuente would be great options as well, but Herman has separated himself from the pack of the Big3.

I honestly don't know what station it was.
My brother, who sadly and disgracefully is a tater to the core, turned it while I was driving and was listening to it. I was trying to drown out the drivel but when they introduced Jeff Scott and said his brother Brad was joining him, my ears immediately perked up.
I'll ask my bro in the morning what station it was and post it here.

Things are getting quiet from the 'sources' out there. Usually that means we're getting close. IMO, Herman will be announced the week after our last Reg Season game.

No matter who is the next coach, will they have enough time to sway some recruits for signing day in February? What are the numbers looking like? Are we filling up already?

I completely agree. And I think the team, Elliott and his wife knew something was up Saturday. Not just bc of the "stop recruiting" order that was reported, but it seemed as if they knew.
The team seemed preoccupied and flustered before they ever took the field, Elliott was not his normal "rah rah hear me roar, watch me mosh pit with my OL" self. He wasn't himself on the sideline, either. He was subdued and seemed distracted and almost...sad. Then there's his wife who looked like she was depressed as hell and might break out in tears at any given minute.
I pray that the announcement will be sooner rather than later and that it will, indeed, be Herman who is introduced as our new HBC.

Two total scumbags ... and that's not a rivalry induced pejorative.
Those two are total scumbags. The kind that come across as good old boys and smile in your face while stabbing you in the back.
The stories I could tell.
I remember when Jeff was just a little kid wanting to fish all the time out at the lake.

Not close to filling up, less than half way there, and we'll have some decommits so there will be plenty of room. I would be more surprised to see us end up with 25 total commits on NSD.
We had several prospects who were supposed to be coming in on OV's for the florida game, but then we changed them to Unofficial Visits. I think a big reason we did that is b/c we want to give them an OV to talk to the staff that will be in place when the time comes.

I have no inside information, but I don't think Herman is the guy that Tanner is really going after. I think this is part of the screen. I think it's Smart's job to lose, and the timelines all make sense and point towards a coordinator vs a current head coach.
Could be completely out to lunch, but just a gut feeling.

I agree, it could be someone other than Herman, and they are just putting out some disinformation. If that's what they're doing, I like the strategy. They should keep their actual strategy really close to the vest, loose lips sink ships.

One of the guys who works for me is close with Jasper Sasser (lives next door to him), and I am starting to believe the comment about the coaches knowing that they will not be retained. My employee came in to work this morning and said that Sasser referred to getting ready for the "new staff" to take over, getting that fresh start, etc. The selfish part of me wants them to all want to go out with a bang and win over Clemson, but I tend to believe they are all dejected and have mailed it in at this point.
Luckily, a quick announcement after the season will restore excitement that has been lacking all year.

I hope I'm wrong, but I just don't see Herman coming to SC. There is too much hype around him, and he has no real connection to SC that would be attractive to him, aside from the money we could pay and the free reign he would have.
He just seems like the sort to wait around for a big time job like Texas to open. The way he talks about his Houston players seems like he wants to stick with them longer than one year.
Smart just makes the most logical sense, though I'm not too particularly excited about it.

UPDATE 11/18) There was a lot of noise regarding Tom Herman Tuesday. The Houston Chronicle reported the board at the University of Houston is to meet Thursday to discuss an amendment to Herman’s contract in an effort to fight off his suitors. Herman reportedly makes $1.35 million annually. The talk of Herman and Missouri also intensified as the Tigers are starting to set the wheels in motion on their search. It’s well known the AD at Mizzou hired Herman at Houston. All that being said, here’s what you need to know. We were told Tuesday night Ray Tanner and Herman have been communicating thru the third party and the two are on the same page about what each one wants. We were also told the two will sit down together at the appropriate time to make sure it’s a fit for both parties. If a formal announcement were to come, it would be made soon after Houston’s final regular season game if it’s not in the AAC championship game December 5th. If the Cougars are in the title game, the announcement would come soon after that.
