Appears neither Tank nor Murphy will be committing this week.

It's all good with Murphy;)

Murphy is taking 2 more visits, florida and Alabama, then he is shutting it down. USC is his leader.

Did anyone see that Boom set up Tank getting to stand on a real tank this weekend? I wonder if our pr department was helping him make his commitment video?

Word is we now ,outright, lead for Burch and Tisdol didn't commit to au this weekend so there may be hope there.

I was hoping those pics of Tank standing on the tank at the Armory with Willy B in the background that he posted were from his commitment video. Those were some badass pics.

Gamecockcentral reported yesterday Burch didn’t make it this weekend. Do they have bad info or you think they’re just relying on what coaches may have told them about attendees for the bbq and not necessarily a campus visit?

Also, in reference to my other post asking why Burch attending bbq would be a major infraction, GCC’s email said Burch will therefore be “waiting to take his OV”. If Burch has yet to take his OV then why couldn’t he attend bbq? Again, sorry if I’m completely missing something.

Pretty sure Burch was there and we are in very good standings with him. dont know if it was an official or not tho. I mean he lives here so could have come over for some activities and not others.

Speaking of Burch, he is now ranked the #3 player in the country, up from #15, per Rivals.

Being reported that he was not there. Definitely not officially. I don't think this is a bad thing. He still has officials to take and I hope we get the last one.

If I am not mistaken, visits to the coach's house, having dinners or BBQs at his house, things like that are only allowed for official visits, where the staffs are allowed to roll out the red carpet so to speak, and do things for prospects that they cannot do for unofficial visits.

So whether or not a prospect is on an unofficial visit - on his own dime - or on a official visit, where the staff pays for things like transportation and hotel rooms for their visit - plays a big factor in whether or not those prospects can visit coach's houses, eat at cookouts, etc.

So the thing here was, a number of prospects in this weekend were not on official visits, while a number of them were. Kids on unofficial visits can't just join in with kids on officials, and attend BBQs, cookouts at the coach's house, etc., or it would be a violation.

But I have heard the staff wants Burch to attend on his official visit individually, so the staff can spend all the time just on him. He's visited several times now unofficially, and can do so later, so I guess they didn't want him to visit this weekend, and sort of be left out of some of the functions, if he was just there unofficially.

But that's all speculation on my part. To me, if we can get him on campus as many times as possible - officially or unofficially - it would only serve to our benefit...

In any case, the whole mystery of whether or not Burch visited this weekend is interesting, and if he did NOT visit, then the fact that reports are out there that we've still only improved our position with him, just the same, is exciting.....

He wasn’t at the bbq. It was an unofficial visit. He was on campus Saturday.

Don't forget that Burch is good friends with Jackson Muschamp and has a pre-existing relationship with him so he could easily go hang out with Jackson at his house, even if there was a bbq going on.

Not unless that was his official visit. We would get nailed if that happened.

No he could drop by and hang out or see Jackson as long as he wasn't participating actively with the other recruits. He has a pre-existing friendship which may blur the lines but is still legal.

There's no way in hell our coaches would take that chance. Especially with a recruit like Burch.

He wasnt at the BBQ or any official event. From what I've heard he just had a meeting on campus with TRob and Muschamp .
